hey hey!!
okay sorry i am writing late, we just got back from le pont du gare. it was amazing!!! so so cool! we went through the coolest ville named Uzès. so cool!!
but before i forget mylds is changing so my new email is kendall.wimmer@myldsmail.net . kinda frustrating but oh well..
okay so this week... no we dont really watch the olympics. every once in a while we will catch a glimps at a members house but not a lot.
okay so we just found out that the sister missionaries are being pulled out of Nimes because the bishop is insane!! haha he didnt do anything bad to them, he just doesnt understand his role, so as a bishop here in france you are not supposed to have interviews with our investigators and judge them for their readiness that is the district leader, zone leader or mission pres. he has a little problem with that like a lot in the past. he took bridget and told her she isnt ready, so he tells her she needs to decide on her own date and then call him. she then told us in our rendez vous that she didnt want to be baptized anymore because the bishop offended her. ahh!!!!! we talked her out of that and told her to pray about a date, which is really dumb because as a missionary you are supposed to set a date and help them work off that date. but yeah the pres. is taking the sisters out. so we get there apt!!! sweet!! it is huge!! well we get it if i stay in Nimes. this is the last week of the transfer. next week i could be somewhere else.
okay anyways, we are really close to setting another baptismal date with a woman named Mme Laurent. she say the missionaries like 10 yrs ago but moved into a zone we arent allowed in. we found her again and she moved back into the city. one thing really unique about our mission is that we dont eat dinner but we retourn at 8. that is because at noon to 2 and from 7 till morning it is empty!!! it is so weird! like we walk through centre ville at 8 pm and it looks like it is midnight!! its because the french are eating during those times. haha they love their food!
dad, i had mille feuille! haha so good! oh mom thanks so much for the package!!! i love it!! that hair stuff dominates!! i just feel sorry for elder christensen though, i look so dang good and he just looks like a darryl. haha oh i am really starting to love it out here! it is still rough though, the language still isnt here haha i am frustrated about that but i just gotta be patient.
well i love you all!
talk to you next week!

hello from elder robert.
ok to first start out i have a new email address it is: jordan.robert@myldsmail.net you have to use that one from now on. they moved everything to g-mail. how is everything?
im in groningen right now we had a district p day. we played volleyball in the church. it was super fun. always nice to use the old muscles. they have a small court in the church. aand now after this im staying and going on exchanges in groningen with elder mathews from heber city. then i go home tues and go on another exchange with the zone leader in assen. then on friday im off to amsterdam again for zone conference.
well bernedetta didnt come to church this week. so frustrating. i had one of the slowest weeks of the mission. a lot of door to door. and finding in the city. but nothing. we had one person tell us we could come back in a week. a lot of our investigators are gone also. we are still working with elmar in emmen i told him i would call him every night to remind him to pray. its so frustrating teaching people and the agree with you and they know exactly what they need to do but they just dont do it. i find myself doing it though. change is hard but it is the only way you will ever progress. people dont want to leave thier comfort zone.
i have a challenge for everyone to do something good out of your comfort zone this week.
it is so good to read all your e mails it gives me so much drive for the rest of the week. it sounds like morg and taryn are doing so good. taryn is a work a holic. i can work harder. you can always work harder.
next week is transfers. it will be weird to see who i get. sorry i didnt answer any questions. i will work on that.
ramon told me today he wants to go on a mission! i will be able to go through the temple with him.

sawadiikha!
before i forget i have a few items of buisness:)
1 i have a new email account as you can see! myldsmail has finally been updated and they just gave my address. boring. but, atleast it has my first name in it! ha, sis richins and i were talking the other day about how we miss our names. i really do.
2 does anyone know how to get bike greese out of clothes? ha im tired of having black spots on all the bottom of my skirts!
3 mom i talked to sister peterson, the senior office missionary. she said to buy the plane tickets and also a one way for me:) the church will reimburse with the normal fee. be in bangkok the 3rd.. i dont know how long to stay, thats up to you.. i would say atleast a week? i have no idea. then if you want to go to the hong kong temple on the way home that would be cool too, but that is up to you as well, im good either way!
this past week was great. im learning to love the little things about thailand, like the ramdom cows seen in random parts of the city, the fighter planes that fly over a few times a day (like the ones on the 4th of july! there is a base close by and they fly around practicing..), the clogged streets due to way to many vehicles of all sorts, trying to go both ways on a road not even big enough for a one way, with vehicles parked on the sides of the roads, the horrible nasty smell avery once in awhile coming from the wat ( ok this needs some explaining.. one morning my nose was filled with a smell of burning hair and other smell that i have never smelled before, and could faintly hear buddhust chanting. i finally asked my comp what it was.. it is a body being burnt at the wat that is close by!!! they do a crazy chanting ceremony and funerals and then burn the body in the casket in front of everyone! i got so grossed out and didnt even want to breath! hah we tried to hold our breath, but long periods of breath holding only makes me about pass out.. ive gotten more used to it now..) and the hundreds of motorcycles and scooters. and i thought italy had a lot of them!
last thurs/friday we had interviews and zone conf in khonkheen, a few hours away. we got to sleep in the cactun (cactus but thais cant end a word with an s..) it was a fun little getaway! in our spare time walking the small city streets/dirt roads handing out flyers for free english class. zone conf was really motivating. i found out that we the only sisters in the zone take the lead in numbers right now.. numbers arent really anything, but that really surprised me because i thought that our numbers were bad! that scares me for thailand. the church needs so much growth here right now, but the people just wont have it. i wish that i could just scream out this message to the whole country like in little rascals "people, people, we need your salvation!!!" we need so many more missionaries in this world, especially thailand. its sad that the numbers are going down. chan, matt, and everyone else, WE NEED YOU!!! start teaching the kids so early to be the best missionaries because that is what we need! the Lord needs the best that we can possibly be. zone conf was about finding new investigators, 1/3 of the mission had 0 new investigators 2 weeks ago. that is horrible!!!! it makes me so sad. its time for us all to really step it in gear and gather more people in. i have so much motivation right now, i am going to really try and not let it burn out. i remember ryan once writing in his email about how after zone conf and such he is on fire, but then he works it so hard that it fizzles a little. it is so true. i am really going to try and not let that happen!
how is sky and brynn doing? i hope all is well! they are always remembered in my prayers!
dad, yesterday we were in charge of making the district sunday dinner (yes, the elders have an oven!!!! hurray!!!!) for us and the 4 elders, i made dutch babies, it made me think of you:) the elders called me panicking that they were exploding and then took it out of the oven and it shrank. i was laughing.. so gooooood. it was a little piece of home. not too much longer and ill be enjoying those again with you on sundays!
andie~ i hear that your having housing problems. dont worry who you live with because itll be for only a semester! make sure you find somewhere that we both can live;) i cant wait lou! i miss you so much! keep your head up. youre so incredible girl!!!!!
elder wimmer! youll have a letter coming hopefully soon.. but, i wanted to comment on your emails.. you have kebabs!!!!! so delicious!!! i miss those from europe. eat one for me!!! in bangkok is an amazing bakery that on special occasions i can go get a sandwich (sandwiches dont really exist in thailand) its called au bon pain.. then i wanted to respond to your question from awhile ago about the language. honestly it is what everyone tells you. just open your mouth and speak as much as you can! never hold back. use your lang study to the best you can and make a lang study plan, pray for the gift, and then also it just takes time. lots of time... also, just a tip from my mission pres. hardly ever is heavenly father mentioned in the bom, most if the "God"s and "Lord"s are Christ:) i miss you morgy!
jord~ im sorry i havnt gotten a letter to you in awhile, i am so behind on letters. i havent had time to write for like 2 months! i promise youll get one soon. your amazing. i miss you so much!!!! take in the snow and cold for me, im craving it so bad! i love you!

yo yo!! whatup everybody!?
well yes i did get a date on valentines day!! her name is Bridgette Lowe!! haha she is getting baptized march 14th. here i will tell the full story, okay so we went over to her house a coupe times this week to teach her and commit her but everytime something else came up and we talked about something other than the lesson we had planned. but yesterday night we nailed it!! we taught her the first half of the plan of salvation and really focused on the atonement, my comp bore his testiomony and passed it over to me, i whipped out alma 7:14,15 and right after said "will you follow the example of jesus christ and do as this scripture tells us to do, to be baptized," haha and then she says "wow...!" "yes i will but i want a book of mormon with big words" haha it was so cool! it was so perfect!!
it has been rainy and snowy all week! it is cold!! but yes i did buy a coat it is so warm! no i havent gotten any letters or anything yet but no worries. okay my mom asked me what we eat... haha you asked for it. alot of Couscous! pasta, crèpes, bread cheese, rice and eggs. haha we really stick to those the most. like once a week we will make quiche and get a kebab.
well yeah let me know how steve nyman does!! i love you all so much! if you havent yet, read preach my gospel with your family! it is so good! at least the lessons.
okay so this week my comp kinda has been slacking. i think he thinks he knows the language so well we doesnt need to study. he does into the room to read but i think he naps. i kinda have to go start all the contacts on the street now too, i dont know what is up. oh well.. i love it here! yeah it is hard, yeah i am way excited to see all of you again but this is where i am supposed to be! the ward here is on a temple trip this week. a lot of the new converts are going. take advantage of the temples!! well i love you all! and thus it is said amen. (last vs. of 1 nephi) so cool!

hello from a steamin' hot thailand!!!> >
the weather is beginning to go from hot, to extremely hot!!! im getting nervous for what it is going to be like in april (the hottest month of the year.. i wonder why???) we are spending lots and lots of time on bikes (i love it!!) but aren’t seeing the results that i want:( we had so many appointments cancel last week. we would bike all the way out there, and then get a pitnat(canceled appt.) it would be fine, except that it happened over and over! So much wasted time. I tried to invite as much as I could, but it is getting hard because it is starting to get so hot no one is out, and we aren’t allowed to go door to door. It leaves some times of just riding around trying to find just anyone. That is one thing that is hard on a mission, I have a constant anxiety of wasting time. I don’t want a minute of the Lord’s time to be wasted, so there is that constant bugger in the front of my brain at all times thinking “is this the most productive thing that I could be doing?” it will be nice to be able to just sit and talk around the dinner table or going for a drive, not worrying about any wasted time, just enjoying life. last night i got pretty discouraged. we gathered our results for the week (55 my comp and i couldnt think of how to say that in english! it took a minute..) and the numbers were the lowest ive had on my mission. so frustrating. i know that it isnt what missionary work is about, but it is nice to have some good numbers by the end of the week- im used to getting complimented for having some of the highest in the mission:( i talked with my comp though and we are really determined to work our tails off this week and help the Lord as best as we can in this work. >
we have a recent convert of about 3 months, yaay bua, sheis incredible. she is the sweetest old lady. i dont know what is wrong, but she cant really walk because her feet/ankles hurt her so badly, she doesnt wear shoes either because it makes it worse.she has to have someone help her walk everywhere. she comes to church all by herself, and climbs the stairs up to the sacrament meeting room, then down to the gospel principles classs, and then back up for relief society, never complaining one bit. i finally got permission for her to be able to just stay upstairs with everyone else. when the missionaries first started teaching her she couldnt really remember how to read because it had been over 50 years. now she has already read the book of mormon twice, the whole new sunday school book that everyone got, all of the pamphlets that we can come up with, is begging for a d and c, and has just started reading the bible. she is a reading machine. she loves everything that we can give her from the church. how crazy would it be to be a convert into a religion and whole way of life that is so different from anything youve ever lived or been taught or even heard of. i hope that i can be like her in my life, no matter what the trial is, the Lord always comes first. >
We have an investigator who is 18 and is really wanting to get baptized, but her parents are very against it and wont give her permission (the legal age is 20 here) we are hoping and praying that her moms heart will be softened and she can get baptized soon. ive already been through this once, i know that the Lord can help us with it again!>
Ive been going through the very poorly kept area bookS (yes we have multiple, multiple branches and hundreds of less actives) trying to make sense of them. there are hardly any baptisms in this area for years!!! that is going to change very soon:)>
well, times up. never enough time, no matter how boring the week was!>
mom, thank you so much for your email last week, it was so so good to get a long letter from you! i know it takes a lot of time! :) thank you dad, and all the rest of you, especially court and grandma for writing me/us!!!! it means so so much!>

Hello ok where do I start.
Bernedetta; we had to move her baptismal date to next month. She didn’t come to church and has a few questions. People at work are telling her to not do it and that we are a cult. We took Ramon over there last night and he was amazing. It always helps to have another person there.
This week I had an exchange in Groningen. We set up a baptismal date our first appointment! We then spent the rest of the day doing street contacting. it was freezing cold. And I was not dressed properly so it was a long day. The next day there was a baptism for the elders from Heerenveen. (Im not totally sure how to spell that.) it was nice to see!
Ok so big news, it is now the Belgium, Netherlands mission. The French speaking side is going to be a part of the Paris, France mission. So Brussels is not a part of the mission. I don’t know where the mission prez is going to live. But the office that was in Brussels is moving to Louven. No more frenchies in our mission now. We aren’t tainted by the French side anymore. Ha ha Dutch people absolutely hate the French. Transferes are on the 3 of march so I will know if I stay or go or get a new comp on the 1st. we have new office elders now and a new assistant. A lot of changes.
Well traci and kim thank you! Ok that’s funny how the valentine fairy got chris and chandler giant cookies. They must have been really good this year. The dutch wear orange because the kings name was oranje. Yes all the canals have been frozen over for quite some time now people skate on them. What story of mine about twins was on the mission blog? Huh? Ok well g2g son. Oh yeah on exchanges we got to play volleyball, basketball, ping pong, oh man that was fun. Its to bad there was no competition. Ha haaaa yeah 3-p

Oh little joe the wrangler!!!!! Ha ha whats up? Every time I sit behind the computer I cant remember one thing from the week.
Ill start off with our baptismal date Bernedetta. Ok so she didn’t come to church this week, Jamer! She was sick. She is still on track for baptism though. She needs a ride to church whenever it is snowy. Because she uses a walker. She is not old but she is a litte disabled or something. I think she is around 38. And has had a hard childhood living in an orphanage. I guess she knows Ramons mom who was in the same orphanage when they where young. They don’t really like to talk about those days.
We did a lot of street contacting in the centrum this week. People are not interested. Ha ha. Its hard to find those diamonds in the ruff. But it is worth it. We also on Saturdays now work in Emmen man it was cold. We have to take an hour bus ride to get there. So we don’t have our bikes there. That means we have to take the bus everywhere.
We have been working more with Elmar. He is the chain smoker. So I think he takes medicine for some things because last time he was totally normal and this time he was not crazy but a little different. He told us he wants to be baptized but he cant be until he stops smoking. That’s going to be a tough one. When you walk into his apartment it is like a wall of smoke hits you. Its so groggy and it drags you down. It is hard to make sure he goes to church because we don’t go to church in emmen and cant drag him there. We see him again this sat. along with the big American b baller. He is going to kook for us.
Ok so the other day we had a senior couple over for a apartment inspection. I guess they weren’t fully pleased. Don’t worry its not bad. So yesterday right before sacrament im just hangin out and all the sudden who do I see the mission pres and his wife. They came to join us for sacrament.( They are awesome people). So sac gets over and were mingling with the members and mr prez. And he sais oh oh yeah we want to inspect your apartment right now. Ha haa. So we got into there car and headed to our apartment. Luckily it was pretty clean all the dishes were done. The carpet was clean. I had some clothes out and that was it for me. Then the prez sais I have to use your bathroom real quik. It felt like something out of a movie. I love it. Good thing the bathroom wasn’t too bad. They said the apt. was a lot better than they thought. Feew. Then they drove us to our dinner appointment I got to get to know them better. The mission prez wife then calls back and sais she wants a picture of us with our white board our whit board has all the info of all our investigators and our numbers and everything. I guess it was done pretty well.
Ok well. Whit I had a dream the other day we were in the back yard with Finn on the grass the sun was shining birds were chirping. Me chris and you and Chan. he said Christian then whitney then Jordan then chandler perfectly it was so cute.
If any one of you (sisters, sister in law) is pregnant don’t be keeping it a secret from little old 3-p. I saw that whit was pregnant on the calendar you gave me ant it didn’t click for a while that it was on april fools day.
Ps thanks for the calader. Happy Valentines day by the way! Well no more time. Love you all. EROBERT oh yeah mom yeah I work out. I do a lot of pull ups and sit ups cant run, its pure ice outside. Im so sore as we speak. And my address is Maria in Campislaan #239 9406 JG Assen Netherlands. We have no gym at our appt. its ghetto.
Ha ha oh yeah I wake up every morning wanting to kill roosters it aint good. My knee and ankle are not making progress. My amkle scares me. I try to stretch it out when I get time. Havnt got the package. Ok thanks bye bye

well the past week was loooong! though i have seen a few elephants walking the streets, that makes the day happier:) 55(haha) it feels much longer than a week ago that i wrote.. i think time will start to go faster though once i get to know the area and such.. >
im not feeling as discouraged this week about the area. i feel like it is possible, though it is going to take a ton of work! im am learning to depend on Heavenly Father even more. if i dont learn anything else from my mission, two things that i will be grateful for is learning how to completely rely and give my desires up for the Lord, and then the other when i get done, i think will have the confidence that i can conquer anything! i hit my half way mark next week! my official date is the 3rd of nov. mark it on your calendars:P >
we bike a ton in this area! my body is so tired by the end of the day. it is a glorious feeling. >
friday was my favorite day we bike 45 min out of the city to the boonies. i expected it to be rice fields, but we passed those. it turned into an area that looked like southern utah/africa (and also the heat felt like it too!). it was way cool. i have no idea how my comp knew how to get out there, taking random little dirt paths, biking past HUGE water buffalo blocking our path (kinda scary!) until we finally got there. there was a crazy looking old wooden thai house next to a big pond with those HUGE water buffalo sitting on the shore and also some in the water up to their heads cooling off. it was a national geographic scene for sure! after we biked just a little ways to some fairly recent converts house that had tons of chickens and a few cows running around in the front yard. inside was just a big room. then the grandma comes in with a huge machete knife and a coconut in hand and hacked at it, providing us with fresh coconut. then that night it rained!!!! hurray! it hadnt rained for awhile, i miss it. i knew it was going to rain that day thought because it always gets incredibly sizzling hot before a storm. it started right about 8:50, and still had a 25 minute bikeride home in the dark. it was a downpour, i actually got a little chilly! i loved it. it is those moments booking it home in flooding rain coming home from an awesome lesson with someone we are preparing for baptism that i feel like what i have always pictured missionary work like. i love adventures. >
today we had a zone activity. were the only sisters in the zone. the elders came from way out and had to sleep at our elders house last night. we had district jerseys and played volleyball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee. its fun to go from the elders not really wanting you on their team because your a girl, to dominating them:) it was super hot though and my body is dead!!! >
well, its that time again. im so grateful for all of you. Thank you so much. us three (me, jord, and morg) are the luckiest missionaries ever. we have such incredible support. i dont know why i am so blessed. i am excited for the day when i can give you a big hug and really thank you for everything that you do for me. i love you! i miss you so much!!!! i am so grateful for a Savior, who knows my trials and knows exactly how i feel, who knows exactly how to help me and who is always looking out for me, who knows what is best for me even when i dont see it. thank you mom and dad for teaching me about him and letting me see your example and dependance on Him so that i now know where to turn.>
love you>

Hello family and friends! This week was a weird one. The weather was strange. We had freezing rain early on in the week. I took my bike in to get fixed and they gave me a loner bike to use while the were fixing it. The bike had no traction! Ha the roads were complete ice and we were riding allday. I took a good spill the first corner I took. And I broke my leg. Ha ha just kidding. But it did feel good to fall. I havnt taken a good fall for a while. It felt like I was write at home except for the fact I didn’t break anything. I tried to fall more throughout the day. It’s the one exciting thing that happens to you out here ha ha.
Sky sky! That stinks you broke your leg. I hope it gets better! I hear if you shine some red light on it, it will heal. Ha ha. Grapje Grapje!!
well on Sunday Ramon got the preistood! It was super good for him. We have been working with Bernedetta a lot lately. She is on track for baptism on feb 20.
Oh yeah. This week we went to work in Emmen. It is a town an hour bus ride away. It was just barely closed so we are in charge of it now. We met with a really cool man. He smokes smokes smokes and wants to stop but its hard. Everybody and there mom and their grandma and grandkids smokes out here. So stupid. Ive never met anyone who has smoked say they didn’t want to quit. He was awesome. We are going over on sat. then we went to our next appointment in emmen. This 7 foot tall black American who loves football and wants the missionaries over just so he can kick back and speak his own language and make fun of the dutch people he sais. He was super rad. He made us this giant meal ribs chicken coke nachos. Super fun. His family is amazing too. He moved from mannhatten t Groningen to play basketball professionall. But now he is a English teacher. We have to find a way to get him more interested in the gospel.
Its to bad to hear about the missionaries in Armania.
Well ive lost 4 kilos in the past two weeks. Ive been super stressed. And a little bit sick. I cant get over it. Especially when I cant get any sleep. The roosters don’t give up in the morning and my comp wakes me up everytime he gets out of bed at 6 oclock. We are supposed to get up at 630. Its frustrating. But ive never been so patient in my life. I think im a little too patient.
Well the work is moving. We reactivated a family just recently. They come to church everysunday now.
Morg for the language I would suggest taking a notepad wherever you go and when you don’t know a word write it down then in language study look it up and memorize it. Then try and look for it when you hear people talk. Also read outloud out of the book of mormon. And syl! Ty how is it going? Do you have my new address? Havnt heard from you In awhile.
Well till next week. Ps im going to try and make my emails more detailed about the work from here on out. Rich chan chris how was aspen ahh so jealouse . shout out to shane finch! You’re a stud man. Ok well I got to go .3-p / elder RRRobert ( the 3 rrrs is for the rolling effect. People cant say r around here)

last week was hard leaving sapaansung, especially because sister bradfield was really sick, so i didnt get to say goodbye to most people. we finally got some other sisters to come switch so that i could go to english class. 4 of the members showed up to say bye, they are so amazing. they gave me a little box very excitedly. they were earrings. they had spent a lot of money and had searched for 2 days trying to find something for me. i played it off really well, until they told me to put them on and then i had to tell them i dont have my ears pierced! i felt so bad!! it feels good to leave an area knowing you worked hard though. those are people that i will love forever. hard leaving, knowing i probably wont see some of them until the next life.>
i got shipped out to about an hour from the border of laos! its a pretty big city. well its a town. and then surrounded by rice fields. lots of them. im in udornthani, or for short, udon. its in the very north east.. if you look it up on a map itll be easier to find! >
55(haha in thai writing.. haa is the number five:) ) we load all our stuff onto songtaws (pickup trucks with seats and a cover on the back-a common form of public transportation here) those took us to a little train station where we waited for the old rickety train which took us 13 hours out. we slept on it (or tried to sleep). the bathrooms were my favorite! a metal squatter toilet which was pretty much just a hole in the ground. you can watch the train tracks race by! >
after that adventure, we loaded onto saamlaws, my favorite form of transportation. the front is a mortorcycle, but the back wheel is taken off and a little cart-like thing added on that we sit on. the most common trasportation in udon. taxis dont exist here. >
we live in the very end of a street, sharing a half house with the landlord, and then the 4 elders-2 normal, 2 zone leaders- live across the front yard. its so nice, no soy street dogs barking or cars honking all night! oh, and i can see the stars out here!!!!! lots of huge brown or white cows that wander the streets and cause lots of traffic jams. which already have problems because they are so extremely narrow and they try to force 2 lanes!>
ok now for the negative part.>
oh i feel overwhelmed. so overwhelmed. on top of having to move and trying to fight the stupid anxiety mornings again, we (the sisters) cover two branches. 6 hours of church. 2 eastern thailand food meals after each church. 2 branches ive got to get to know. there are about 80 and 30 people that come to church in each branch, 500 members total on record. the zone leaders branch is actually doing pretty well, but the other branch is hurting so so bad. about 30 people at church this last sunday. this area is hurting. the house is actually really nice, but it has not been taken care of forever. i have already done a ton to fix it up, but it is going to take awhile! we have 2 progressing investigators, which both have bap. dates which is good, but im coming from leaving an area which we had 12! im starting from almost scratch.i feel like the whole area rests on my shoulders and im only a 5 moves missionary, still a jr comp. i think that my comp will work hard if i do. her name is sister richins. i feel a lot like jord right now with his comp. very know-it-all nerdy. but, i think she had the capability to work. i feel like i am starting from scratch, and have to get 3 others on the ball as well. i am so grateful for the zone leaders, i am hoping that they can help me get the others motivated and get this area rolling. i cant do it. but, i know the Lord can. if i can just depend on him, i know its possible! >
they speak a lot of essan-east thailand language- and laotion here. it gets so confusing trying to understand them as they switch back and forth with the three languages! they sound very similar though, i think i might be able to pick up some of it! i already understand a few phrases.>
president pulled me aside before moves meeting and pretty much told me where was going and that it is where the Lord needs me right now and he knows that i can do it.i am so nervous. i have so so so much work cut out for me. but it is going to feel good leaving this area up and running if i can get it there. if i can stay motivated. ive never felt this motivated or this hopeless, its a wierd feeling those 2 combined. please pray for me! ive read in omni, words of mormon, and mosiah the past couple of days and have recieved a lot of help from those words. never stop reading them! read every single day so that they can tell you the things you need at the time you need it. if you dont, they wont be able to do that!>
i hope all is well at home. i love reading your emails, thank you! i love you so much. so much.>
i miss you.>
love, sister ยง

oh i feel overwhelmed. so overwhelmed. on top of having to move and trying to fight the stupid anxiety mornings again, we (the sisters) cover two branches. >

I had exchanges this week in Montpellier. it went well, haha i told some lady that we have a latter day prophet today and her jaw literally dropped!! haha so funny! i dont know if she was all the way with it though. but she was interested so i gave her pretty much everything i had, book of mormon, pamphlets, pass along haha it sure made my bag lighter!! haha she was super nice! we had zone conference in toulouse, i had the best kabab i have ever had!! so good! kabab and coke = goodness!! dominates! the language is still rough but it is slowly coming, i can speak fine its just when people talk its tough but most the time i can pick out what they are saying.
we are hoping to have 2 dates for baptisms set by next week. we dont have bikes in Nimes but it is fairly small. it is freezing but i am going too look for a coat today. the sales are almost done. oh and the sales here are huge!! haha like it is a 4 week thing where all the stores have huge sales! it happens once in the summer and once in the winter.

Hello! Ok my mind is blank.
Ahh ok Ramon the kid 20 year old we baptized. We are working with his dad. We have gotten to know him really well I schooled him a couple times in checkers but anyway. He took us to fly some kites ha ha really funny. These weren’t just any kites. We went to this giant field to fly them. One was a 6.6 meter which was amazing. You have to hold onto these two handles and steer the giant kite. It was a serious work out. It drags you all over the place. You have to run with it or it will drag you. Then he busted out the 10 meter. It was like flying a parachute chris you would have died. It was so fun. The ten meter would lift you into the air if you wanted it to. Super fun. Hopefully ramones dad starts coming around to the gospel!
For my birthday we went and visited some investigators taught some lessons. And went to mcdonalds. Mcdonalds is like the nice place to take your kids around here. But it was a 30 min bike ride in the freezing cold. It was fun ramon came with us. Mom I baked that cake you sent me. It was weird because one of the senior couples dropped off a mini toaster oven the same day. So I cooked it in that. It turned out so good thanks. Oh yeah do you want to send me everybody in our families birthdays? Maybe on a calendar or e mail? Ive had to take some cash out of the account to buy some train tickets and groceries.
My talk on Sunday went good I used the escaped horse story thanks Shayne. I wrot it in English first and then translated it into dutch. I hate giving talks.
Mom you got a season pass! What the heck! You better be going tons. Dad I saw my first vw thing the other day. Yellow 73 or so, no air vents. And I saw an old school saab. Like ours but not a grand turismo.
My bike busted this week. I need a new axle and barings. I tried to fix it myself but we have about 4 tools in total. I am taking it into the shop tomorrow.
Tomorrow is interviews again in apeldorn.
Skylar what happened?! Broken leg!? I know how you feel. How is morgy porgy puddin and pie doing?! How is TY?
I think in the email that didn’t come through I talke about going to Germany! A member lives right on the border. He took us through a little section you can actually tell the difference. We went to eat there for 2nd Christmas. Not to menchon the members daughter is the biggest babe. We have another busy week ahead of us. Ok well I m out of ideas. Hope you all have a good week! Its freezing cold here! Thanks for all the birthday presents! Im 24 what the heck. Love two dozen/ 3-P

Hey!>
Life is wonderful right now and busy as ever. we are non stop all day until our bed hits the pillow. seriously. oh it is so so hard to get up in the morning, but i still do it every day. i havent slept in once, and dont ever plan on it. hah i think that is the worst part of the day. >
the area is on fire. it feels good to leave an area like this, though it is sad as well. we have a lot of progressing investigators and 5 with bap dates!!! we set three last week! sad that i wont be there for them, but so awesome that i was able to share in a part of the teamwork of missionary work. we are teaching one lady-tong dii- which means good gold.. yes she is gold. she is the younger sister of an AWESOME family in our branch. she and her family (she has 3 way cute boys arm-age11, tail-age 9, and beer-age 1 month) were staying at their house for awhile so that sister naang could help- tong dii just had a baby last month- his hair is just like mine when i was little! hah his name is beer- acommon name here... when we first started teaching it was always so awkward, she was pretty much just being forced to listen because she was at sister naangs home. though through the past momth we have gradually seen a total change! our first lessons were us talking at her, she wouldnt really even say anything- let alone look at us. now she loves it and is making her husband change his schedule so that he can meet with us in the evenings and is moving next door to sister naang! our first lesson with the whole family is tonight. thailand needs families and priesthood so badly. also, we set a date with ben, the lady that i was inspired to call a few months ago seeing her previous investigator record. yay!!>
president and sister smith came to our ward yesterday, i love them both so much! im so grateful that i was sent here so that i could serve with them. after sacrament president quietly said to me that id better say my goodbyes today-meaning ill be moving this week. itll be good, though itll be really hard. this area is awesome, im so grateful that i got to serve here. its wierd saying goodbyes-knowing that a lot of these people that i have spent almost 6 months with i will never see again. to some i will be just another missionary that has served, to others i will never be forgotten because of the changes that the Lord through the help of me have helped them make. i know that i wasnt ready to move before now because i wouldnt have really minded leaving. hah they say that as soon as you really love and area, feel comfortable, and know everyone, that is when you are sent to a new one. >
this morning we went running and passed a few people about our age obviously still up from the night before drinking and smoking. they looked so miserable. i felt so bad for them, i am so grateful for the gospel, amazing parents, and so many people who have helped me make good decisions throughout my life so that i can experience true happiness!> mom-have you sent me a new card? i not, could you do that soon? thank you! >
hah a few days ago after a dinner at a members, bro ann, a single in the ward was making fun of me, saying that i could use my shoes being a boat as propellers! hah i laughed so hard, thinking if only you could see the rest of my familys! in america my feet are just medium, but here they are huge!>
grandma and chan, i hope you had an awesome birthday!! whats up with mace? i havent heard from him yet am wondering where he is and if he is still dating that cute japanese girl?! mom, you mentioned elle went to see avatar, that is big here too! except they say "awataa" >
next week we hit 8 months! part of me cant believe it, and the homesick part of me cant believe i still have that much more. though i know this half will go by much faster! the past few weeks have already started, i dont know what is different, but i find myself suprised that it is pday again . >
well, life is good. i dont know what i did to be so blessed. i really think ive got to be one of the most blessed people in the world! i love you so much. the church is so so true. it you ever doubt, just read moroni 10:3-5 again and pray and ask. He will confirm the truth over and over to you. i do it all the time. i have to. because if the church isnt true, it the book of mormon is not truly from God, and if Joseph Smith not a prophet of God, i might as well just go home. i would just be wasting A LOT of time! but im not! this is the only church with the complete fulness.>
i love you and miss you so much! stay safe and stay good>
until next week at a new location:)>

okay its official i hate these key boards! haha! so frustrating! so different! okay so i am in the ville Nîmes. it is so cool! it is really romany. if that is a word... but yeah it is beautiful!
sorry if i dont answer all your questions i am sorry i didn't have time. i gotta first figure out this freaking key board!!! ah!!!!!! i will type a sentance how i would normally write it. okqy thqnks for qll of your letters it ,qeqns q lot to ,e1 i ,iss you qll1 Translation: Okay thank you all so much for your letters it means a lot to me i miss you all. crazy huh!
okay, Nîmes is awesome! the members are strong, those who arent excommunicated. for some reason there are so many excommunicated members. the bishop is a bit crazy... but okay where do i even start, okay, i got to toulouse, went to the bureau (mission office) had some pain au chocolate and croissantes with cheese and baguettes. so good! we had orientations and interviews, then we contacted. haha. i dont even know what i said but i got 2 return appointments and the person i was with didn't get any. ha kinda cool. the next morning we got assigned our villes and trainers. my comp is elder christensen. he is really nice and a really hard worker. we have a baptism this weekend, he is a little boy named... brace yourself! alexis. haha but in french dont say the s. he is 13. i have to give a talk at the bqptism on baptism. i am excited!! we are hoping to commit 2 more people at the baptism. the pressure is on!!
okay this is crazy, so we have some restricted areas in nimes. one is always restricted and the other just at night. so we went to the one that is resricted only at night to vistit a recent convert (alexis friend) and i was getting a weird feeling but i thought if it was anything too serious my comp would also say, i kept feeling it but kept ignoning it. 2.5 seconds later a rock the size a golf ball flies an inch away from my face! these like 12 year old kids were stoning us!! so we just continued on... haha.
another funny story, we met a russian who has no job and he was interested but we didnt have anything russian at the moment. so the next day we went by and gave him some pamphlets and we are going to go give him more today. we are going to order a russian bom for him.
well the language still needs ALOT of work but it is starting to come. dad or jord or ty if you have any suggestions on learning the language i would love to hear it!!

Chongy yonga! Eab! (eat a burger, for all those who are deprived from goodness!) may she rest in piece. She didn’t last very long without me. We were really in love. Another case of true love, how the woman just cant survive without her man. RIP. Shes going to take a little piece of my heart with her.
OK so THANK YOU I got the pee your pants package and boy did I pee my pants. I never new they even made ipods like that. Thank you so much. I peed my pants when I watched those clips. Chris you got talent. I was on exchanges when I got it in Groningen. When the basket ball one came on we were like what is this? We both thought naybe it was an add for 2012 the movie. But oh man did I get a good laugh out of it. Richy goes down every time in his usual fashion . chris son whats goin on with your skills? Have you been practicing or what? Yonga yonga! Every shot was a drain. Ha ha tha credits were the best part. Ohhhh man! Richy I didn’t know you could be so funny. SWISH! Ha ha ah! Chris very well made! I was impressed.
Kim and wade thank you so much. Thanks everybody for all the birthday gifts. Court, mom, whit ect… I love you all. MOM HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Love you so much! You are the radest mom in the universe! Zeker! Chan how was your b day!
Ok so I didn’t get transferred and I didn’t get a new companion unfortunaltly. He is really lazy. And I think depressed. I don’t know what I can do more to help him. But the missionary work is dominating! We had a busy week. A lot of new investigators. A couple young hipsters that are really cool kids. We first met one and set an appointment then he brought a friend. They like to skate and make music. So I can relate a little to them. And we set another baptismal date! For the feb 20! Her name is Bernadetta. She is a former investigator we picked up.
So last week I went to Amsterdam! Holy moly. I wasn’t in Orem ut I can tell you that much. It was one of the coolest places ive ever been. Skeeetchy. But so cool. Rivers encompassed about with supeeeer old buildings everywhere. Neat neat city. They have everything there. The stores are unbelievable. If you like to shop go to a-dam. Mom dad you would love it. Oh yeah remember when I said that euros couldn’t make burgers? I had a burger in a-dam that blew my mind. Soooo gooood. You would not believe the location either. A hole in the wall. An old hole in the wall. They have really cool old trams that run through the whole city.
Well if you want to get me a little something for my birthday mm you asked me if I need any =thing. I need some hair goods the wax in the little red container. Shayne kim whit will now what it is. A man has to have his hair gell you know what im sayin. Gotta look good for the lord. Ok I wanted to say a little something something. I want to testify of the truthfulness and authenticity of the book of mormon. The book is true. I know that Joseph Smith was chosen by God to open the last dispensation of the fullness of times and he obtained the keys to the Holy Priesthood. Love you all so much chany boi! hi!!!>
we just got back from wat phragaw again! hah we went as a district last week, and then this week our zone leader took us. elder hunts dad is the owner of nuskin and the reps in this area wanted to take him on a tio (a trip) so he invited all of us, all expenses paid:) we first took a nice rotduu (a vanish bus thing) to ayuthaya and then went to wat pragaw, which is the kings palace and the most beautiful wat in thailand. it was fun, but im ready to get back to work! i always feel wierd at the end of pday, all day focused on myself. >
last week was a wonderful week, we are killin this area!!! the week started out great with tuesday. we had an awesome district development meeting, really motivational and elder jolley gave us a 32 page zone conf talk given somewhere in south america but is awesome, motivating sister brad and i as we are continually reading. it is about being the fourth missionary, explaining what each missionary is like and how to be the fourth missionary. i hope someday to be there! >
we taught a few lessons through the day, and then in the evening an appt cancelled and our other apt took too long, we werent sure what to do, we didt feel good about our backup plan. sis brad suggested we go to delaad minburi(big market about 10 min from the church) and get more english class flyers copied to pass out. when we got there the place was closed. we hadnt eaten dinner so we started walking to find some food and ended up walking into a wierd alley to eat. we had just gotten our bummie (soup of noodles and veggies) when this old short stout man walked up and just started talking to us. after awhile of talking we come to find out that he speaks very good english and works for the american cia! he was so so nice and funny. he started asking about our religion and said that he had everything in his life but christ. we talked to him about repentance and at first he said he had too many special sins that he had done, but we convinced him that the atonement covers everyone. right before he left he told us that something told him he needed to go to the delaad, but he wasnt sure why. he found the little eatery down the alley and felt like he should go get a namphan (like a jamba juice but with some veggies and tastes better) he said the whole way he felt so happy not knowing why, and then now he knows. he gave us his number, cia number, and also his daughters number who is a doctor! heavenly father really does direct his people. >
right now we have some really good investigators and have gotten some new ones from some really strange people that we werent expecting but are excited about! >
on thursday to sat we had switch offs, i went to sina karin and was with a thai! it was so good, i was excited to speak english by sat morning, but it was cool to know that i could do it! i hope sometime i get to live with a khon thai, it is a greatlearning experience, so culturally different! coming back to saphansung was nice, it feels so much more comfortable, it has really come to feel more like home with so many people that i love a lot (though not even close to real home:) ) i guess that means its time to move sadly. im 99% sure ill be moving next week, sisters never serve more than 4 moves in an area. sad. though it will be good.>
well, im going to write uncle jord a quick happy birthday email since i havent had time to write any handwritten letters for a long long time!>
man i love you so much. you are all so incredible. i dont know how i got so blessed to have all the family and associations and support that i do. thank you!>
i miss you>

Hey!!
okay so biggest news of the week, because of some significant events that have happened this week my companion and sister smart are no longer leaving on monday with me. they are leaving today at 1:30. I am so bummed! it was such a shock to me cause i was so excited to fly with them! but now i am stuck with 2 kids who are probably the most annoying companionship ever. they are known for being the companionship that is always fighting with eachother! so that will be interesting!! oh well, whatever happens, happens for a reason.
so heres the dealio yo!! I am leaving the mtc at 1:30 so i probably wont get through security till 3ish. so expect a call around 3. I don't know if i am gunna be calling when i get to paris or not. it will be like 4 or 5 am our time. i already said my travel plans last week but i will say them again. so next monday at 1:30 i report to the travel office and we will leave. I don't know exactly how long everything will take to get up there but my flight doesn't leave till 4:45 on monday jan. 18. I arrive in paris at 11:15 am (paris time). I have a 2 hour layover there. then i fly to toulouse at like 1:45ish? i am not sure cause i am just going off memory. but yeah the "significant events" that i talked about earlier i am not supposed to talk about so i wont. haha sorry.
But Andie!! what the freak?! are you going to write me in these 2 years or am i just going to have to talk to ya when i get home. Chan! what the heck bro?! haha how about you check your email!! okay well i just got back from the temple, we had to go early to be able send elder Gilmour and Soeur Smart off by 1:30. we had L. Tom Perry come again on tuesday. it was really cool! that is the 5th time we have had an apostle speak to us! it was sweet!
okay so i am so excited to get out of here! but at the same time i am nervous!! so here is what i have heard the schedule was when i get over there; I get to Toulouse, the mission president picks us up and we head to the mission office in the center of Toulouse. We there drop our luggage off and start contacting/ finding people. yeah, we get straight to work! then we have interviews and we eat dinner at the mission presidents house which is on the outskirts of Toulouse. then we get to go to bed at like 8ish. haha i am so excited!! i hope i don't get scared to talk to people! but the trick for me is, is don't worry about it and just do all you can to try and get them to understand the message you have for them. hopefully they will get it. if not, you did your best.
So this week i realized something, so do you know how when you are at home and just living life you are close to your parents and God just seems kinda fake in a way. Not like he doesn't exist but just... yeah i don't how else to eplain it other than you sometimes wonder if he really is real. Well out here it is the oposite. You get so close with God and sometimes your parents back at home seem fake. it's kinda weird. haha.
well, I will talk to some of you on monday, feel free to come over to the Wimmers to talk to elder Wimmer. I love you all!! thanks so much for all you do! thanks for the packages, thanks for the letters. Whit, you never fail to send me a dear elder. you got one every week! your awesome! grandma pam! I love you too thanks for all you do! I love you all!-Morg.

Happy birthday loyal! You’re the man!
Mom I got the memory stick thans it works. And I got the pack pack package thank you so much! The back pack dominates. That thing is a piece of artwork. Cant wait to use it when I get home for climbing even.
Ok so I think I forgot to tell you that on second Christmas we ate at a members house that lives right on the border of germany. Don’t worry he took us on a nice little ride through Germany. Its amazing the differences you see. One imaginary line does a lot. Oh yeah my comp faked sick for three days this week. I think he was tired of working.
Tomorrow im going to Amsterdam for zone conference and were going to look some members up who havnt been coming to church it going to be rad. Then im headed up to Groningen for two days on exchanges.
Cam remember last new years eve when we jumped in the river then we sat in the hot tub with all the friends and talked about where we were going to be in ayear wow its been over a year since then. It seemed like yesterday.
Ok so while my comp was “sick” I studied dutch for 3 days strait. I can actually tell a difference it helped. On Sunday I translated sacrament into English for a kid. Man ive never done that before. Challenging. So in 2 weeks im giving a talk in church. In dutch oh man. It’s the Sunday after transfers so pray I get transferred. Transfers are on the 20th my birthday! I will know where im going or if im staying on mon the 18 when morgan leaves! Hes already done with the mtc! Weird! Morg your awesome!
Richy what the crap is going on you married or what ha ah. Chan what are you doing for your b day! Shout out to Alex w!
the work is moving foreward here in Assen we are teaching this lady who has a 2 page long list of anti mormon stuff we have to sort out. She is really submissive and its hard for her to get over a lot of stuff. Her name is Linda. She needs some prayers. We are also teaching Ramons parents. They practice sophisma. Its where you take all the good things in the world and all the good books and all different kind of prophets and use what good you can find out of it.
I should get the long lost package that I am supposed to pee my pants over tomorrow. Hopefully!
Taryn how are you I heard you sent me a letter it went to my old address I should get it tomorrow! Dad I want some picks of your progress on your cars the rod the Porsche any work done on the bultaco? Ok well got to go holmes. Love you all. Love 3- P

Hey!>
Ok to start before I forget I have two things. 1. dad was your very first bike a scorpion? I see them all over the place and just realized, I have even seen some of the huge banana seats 2. mom, I need you to go to zions bank and send me a new debit card. I left my little money bag in the taxi on sat it didn’t have too much money in it, but my cards… I am so amazed at technology. i just had to go online, get the number for zions bank, and then used skype to call some one in utah for free, to tell them to cancel my card that can magically buy things and makes money come from machines. Fascinating! >
Wednesday was zone conf, I wish we had them more often! We have them once a moves-every 6 weeks. it is such a boost spiritually and nice to get with other missionaries. This one was about the book of mormon, we were supposed to listen/read/study pres hollands talk from last conf in preparation for it. I love that talk, so powerful! President gave us each a fresh bom, hah it was like Christmas again. I never thought I would be so excited for a new little book of mormon! We are doing the same activity that pres Holland and cook did when they were on their mission (they were companions!!! Can you imagine the power?!) we are to read the bom, highlighting in red the names and pronouns of Christ. Then next time around you do the doctrines in another color, and so on up to four times. I am really going to try and accomplish it before I jop (finish my mission)! I am amazed at how often Christ is mentioned already, though sometimes it is hard to distinguish Him from God. I am excited for this! > After zone conf, we got to play games for a few hours with everyone. We played lightening outside on the court until it really did start lightening! Don’t worry, I held my ground on the court >
We have been just teaching up a storm lately, it has been good. Sister Bradfield is an awesome missionary and we stay really busy all day! Hah there is hardly a night that we are home at 9, we teach up until 930! (we are supposed to go home at 9 unless we are teaching, then it is 930..) baawanpen, the old lady that changed in front of us a few weeks ago, is knitting me a really cool bag with all different colors of string hah sorry this is so random, I am going through my planner trying to remember what happened. Friday night was fhe at the church, I was in charge of the game. We played signs, it took a little while to catch on, but once they did it was straight laughing for 30 minutes! Saturday was childrens day, a holiday for kids! I think we need to have that in the states! They have big festivals all over the place, give kids things for free, and have talent shows. >
Mom and dad, thank you for all of the years of suffering on the piano bench with me. Im the only one in the branch that can play right now! I am so grateful to you!!!!>
Hah after church, we stopped by one of our investigators houses. The parents went out to get khong (stuff-could be clothes, food, ect..) and did the thai way of babysitting: just lock your kids in the house! It is a huge area just full of apt buildings, kinda reminds me of the slums, but smaller, all of them one room apts. To lock your door here, it is just a normal lock like on lockers and there is a place on each side of the door to hook it. We just talked to the two little girls through the door, they were just happy inside playing with their little Barbie. They were fine, but so scary, what if there was a fire or something?! After that we went to a 24 year old LA that hasn’t been to church in years. Ever since ive been here (5months!!!) ive really worked on here. At first she wasn’t welcoming at all and was always “busy” but now ive gotten in here house several time and also took her to dinner last night at a members!!!! It is coming slowly but surely! One thing that I have realized on a mission is that I can never ever go inactive! It not only hurts yourself, but the ward also! It uses a lot of time and effort of the missionaries and members, though it is worth it just to get one person back. We work with a lot of LAs right now.>
Today we went to wat pragaw, it is the royal wat (church/temple) of the king. It is so intricate and incredible! We rode the boat back, I sat by 2 way way cute French girls that spoke english fairly well, I told them that theyd better watch out for a hunk named elder morgan… morg, you are going to be in france this week!!!! I am now finally sitting in ac, trying to spit out my scattered thoughts and events that happened this week, and now my brain is out. The church is true. So true. You don’t have to believe me though, just do the moroni and ask! I have to do it all the time, and Heavenly Father sends me an answer. Every time. Keep reading and praying every day! I love you so so much. I miss you more than I can express, but don’t worry, im almost halfway done!!!>
Love, sister young>
oh, ps mom, could you forward me ryans emails home, i havent gotten any for a long time..

I think... i don't know what time that'll be here but yeah then at 1:05 i fly to toulouse!! haha i am so excited! mom if there is any way that you could get me like a call card or something that would be sweet! if not don't worry about it.

Okay so this week was another crazy week! one of the kids in my room got his apendix taken out last week as you know... but this whole week we had to take turns helping him out. kinda rediculous... he would be fine all day long like walking around fine and everything until it came to waking up in the morning, when he needed to get up then his stomach hurt... so frustrating! oh well. okay so this week our whole zone has been getting sick. like everybody has a pretty bad cold now. hopefully it is gone before i have to go to france. Oh and did i mention that we do get the direct flight straight to paris?!
okay so this next week is gunna be kinda crazy. my teacher wants us to have the missionary schedule before we leave the mtc so instead of just doing our studies when the teachers arent here we are going to do what we do out in the field, which is wake up, breakfast, then personal study, companionship study, and etude de francais. then we fill our day with apointments to teach! like all day long! i am excited for it though.
today we get to go to the temple again! YAY!! it has been a while since we went last! i am so excited!! like i really can't wait to get to france!
okay Chris or Mike do you know someone by the last name Zimbleman? he said he has biked with you before. he said he is friends with Robert Williams. he is a professor at byu. but anyways. he is my branch 2nd counciler. he is such a nice guy and he said he knew you guys. kinda cool! okay well where the freak is chandler?! i haven't heard from him since i have been here! i will email him today sometime. okay well i do this thing with my emails, i use 15 min at the start and so i can check it again throughout the day. so if anyone wants to email me by 5 i can respond. i love you all so so much! mom i am going to start sending some clothes home. Hey!
okay so this week was another really really crazy week! we got a new roomate who has been here 3 weeks longer than us. he was supposed to leave last monday but something was weird with his transfers so he moved in with us. something happened with his apendix on wednesday so thursday morning he got them removed. so e. brobbey had to stay at the hospital with him all day yesterday. I was going to have to go today but this morning he showed up so that is good! This morning our district went and cleaned the temple it was kinda cool. okay so every thursday we go to the R.C. (referal center) and we call people who have called us in the past to order a book of mormon or something free from the pass along cards. okay so I was in the rc and i called to check to see if this lady from florida got her bible. I called and some lady answered the phone who was a relative of the person and she said that she would like to have a bible. so i hooked her up with one. and i asked if she would like to have our "representatives in the area" drop it off to her. she said no. but she then asked what our "representatives" do? CHA CHING!!! golden question!!! so i cleared my throut and told her that we as 19 year old young men are supposed to go and serve Jesus Christ for 2 years. i told her i was called by a prophet of god to serve in the Toulouse France mission. she seemed really interested!! so we talked about what she believes and than i pretty much taught her the plan of salvation lesson over the phone! it was really cool! i talked to her for like 20 min! she eventually said "okay i feel bad but i have to go, this isn't even my house" so i sent her a bible!! only through the mail though... so i was kinda bummed about all that but still! it was kinda cool teaching someone real!
but French is really coming ! it isn't as good as i would like it to be but i am getting a lot better at teaching the lessons in french so that is good! i can't believe i take off in 2 weeks from monday! i am so excited to get the freak out of here and actually be able to help someone! The MTC isn't bad though... i am enjoying myself while things are still easy.
lastnight we stayed up till midnight!! haha i am not sure if we were supposed to but we did. i am pretty sure we are the only ones at least in our building. haha and after that all the elders in the zone pulled a mattress into our room and we had a big zone sleepover. it was so fun!!! haha i am pretty pooped though!!
okay funny story! so i don't know where this came from but i ended up telling s. smart and her comp that people poop in the showers in our building! and she totally believed me!! HAHAHA i told her it is a service assignment to go clean up the poop! we said it is usually the Poly's who do it because it is part of their culture! it is so funny! haha she is so grossed out now! but anyways... haha last night me, e. brobbey and e. gilmour filmed a music video. haha it is the pokemon song but with gospel topics haha it is so so funny! we are so weird!! only missionaries would think this is funny. i filmed it though so once i get my memory card that i sent i will send it home. i also filmed the new year celebration! it was pretty crazy!
well again. thanks whit, court, and anyone else i am missing who sent me a package. I love you all! mom, thanks so much for all you do! dad, how did crunch time do? I love you also dad! Brig!! how is skiing? sage have you been skiing yet? sadie!! who is your new boyfriend?! ash and tay, don't worry i will write you by hand. :) love you all!-Elder Wimmer
Ps. If you wanna email me back you can cause i have extra time and i can respond if is before 6.

OH morgan you are so lucky to be in the MTC at this time! my trainer would always talk about how amazing it was there at Christmas time and the awesome speakers they had. >
Thank you so much for the package!! the christmas trees are so cute! i got teary eyed putting up the paper tree with the cute ornaments and i am so excited to have a few things to open and read! it really spiced up our appt, the only christmas decorations ive seen in a long time!!! thank you for sending the ipod! i just have to say that when the dave matthews christmas song came on, i was in heaven. we have listened to that song many a times since then! also, it came just in time. our branch christmas party was on saturday and we used it to play over the big speakers! hah they were amazed at it, they didnt know what an ipod was. we are pretty spoiled. >
this christmas is very different. no one even really knows what christmas is. i miss the christmas feeling. hah we went caroling after eating at a members house to a few of her buddhist neighbors. we were sweating. hah ive never had that before, it felt like caroling in july! >
one neat thing that happened this week was that we set a baptismal date with Ben (a girl). about 2 months ago i was looking through our previous investigators and came across her and decided to call her, we have been meeting with her ever since! she investigated about 2 years ago and even had a baptismal date but just wasnt ready. Its all about the Lords timing! >
in relief society on sunday, baawanpen, our crazy old recent convert about 1 year who i just love was saying some out there things as usual, still mixing up our doctrine with biddhism and hinduism, said something that made me realize why the Thai people love their king so much. i mean they really love him. every car has an i love the king sticker on it, every single home has pictures of him, and all over the streets and neighborhoods you find huge posters and alters to him. he is a very good man, but i always wondered why they would give their life for him. sunday, baawanpen made the comment of how the king gives them rain, i thought it was just another crazy comment, but everyone agreed. i realized they are taught from when they are young to love him and that he is the reason for everything good that comes in their life. such a different way of life.>
i finished the Book of Mormon today for the first time on my mission. i started it in the beginning of the MTC and have really studied it, it has taken me awhile. what an incredible book . i add my testimony to the many many that have said this before that i know that the book of mormon is a true book from God. i am so greatful for it. it has been a source of comfort, inspiration, peace, and learning for me these past months. i am so excited to turn around and begin reading it again!>
well, its that time again. i love you. i miss you. i wish i was with you at this time, but that will come in not too long. please stay safe and keep the true christmas spirit! dont forget the true purpose. TALK TO YOU SOON!!!!>
i love you> love, sister young
