hellooo ok so an interesting week. ill start out with. my companion faking sick for 3 days. happens i guess. but the baptism went through on sat!!! we combined Chhabis baptism with a members baptism. it was great. a good experience. our ward leader baptized him and i confirmed him. it was powerfull. after the confirmation. he turned around and gave me a big hug with tears running down his eyes. saying '"ïve never felt this way before" he is awesome. he is always wanting to come with us to teach. he loves the gospel. he went from one extreme to another. from never believing in God to becoming a member. with a strong testimony of christ. he investigated religions for 10 years trying to find the truth. from investigating muslim to jahovas witness. he said."finally i came to the conclusion that this is the true church"
we ran into some families this week that are interested. i cant wait to teach them.
a couple weeks ago a family af 4 randomly came to church.
the 28 is transfers. who knows what will happen.
remember that 18 year old kid? well we have been trying to think of ways to get him out of the house and of his computer games. we went over with chabbi yesterday and chabbi started to preach to him. it was really funny at first. but then something changed. jason really stated to think chabbi said some really poewerfull things for only being a member for 24 hours. we aranged a time to go running with him. he likes to run. so this morning we were at his house at 7 in the morning. he took us to his favorite running spot in the forest. it was beautiful. we ran for an hour and thirty min. it felt good. it was great for him. another way we figured how to get hm out of the house was. he is going to teach me Dutch at the church. ha ha genious. ps my companion is really out of shape man!
How is T.Y. doing. she is amazing.
Thnks for the packages this week by the way. i got them all on the same day. richy you are going to have to send me the stupid instructions on the rubix cube. i turned it twice and cant get it back to normal. ahhh.

Hey everybody!> >
First off, i want to say that computer games are destroying this world. Every week in the internet cafe it is filled with young kids playing games, wasting their life away. Satan sure is smart. Coops, Ash, Chan, and all those others that spend time playing games on the computer, STOP!!! PLEASE!!! it is such a waste of life. do something productive. please. There is so much more to do in life than sit on the computer or play nintendo, or actually anything that comsumes more time that we should spend. I wish so badly i would have realized how precious time is before i came here, and i am still trying to realize it. i am trying to take this in and tell myself that this isnt going to last forever (though right now i dont feel like i am ever going to go home). i wish i could see how important the younger years are, how much more of an amazing person i could be now if i would have really tried harder in everything, like in seminary memorizing all the scriptures. boy would that have been helpful! i am now trying to do all the ones that i didnt. I wish i would have realized how amazing the scripures are. reading for 30 minutes a day was so hard for me, hah i dont know how i could have ever felt that way. an hour is not enough study time for me now! mom i smiled at your last letter, you saying that you are obsessed with the scripures now and Jesus the Christ, i am finding i am getting obsessed with the words of the prophets and the scriptures too!! they are filled with SO MANY treasures. if i dont get anything else from my mission, it will have been worth it just so that i can realize the treasure that they are. I try to spend any extra time i have at night or in the morning reading and studying. I am going to start reading Jesus the Christ, im excited to be able to share thoughts from that mom:)>
hah jordan and i have decided we have some people to hurt. i want to punch the person that started buddhism in the face, and he wants to punch the person that started catholicism in the face. hah satan amazes me more and more every day with his abilities to confuse the world. >
This week has been very good. Being out here is getting a little easier. i am used to seeing two cops riding together on one motorcycle (not sure how effective that is???), seeing a crab, cow, water buffalo, humongous lizard, nasty looking dog crossing the street, big pancake frogs stuck to the ground, getting served whole BBQ burnt fish with a stick from its mouth to its tail- trying to hide the bones that im supposed to eat and the scales- or riding through flood water. the people are so kind, i cant wait until i can say anything i want to them and be able to express my feelings to them. there are a few members in my branch that have so much faith and are willing to serve us and all others so quickly. they have shown me the importance of service. i hope that when i return home i can be like them, so quick to serve, never having to think twice. >
a few scriptures that i love this week:>
dad: i read moroni 8:1-2. it reminded me so much of what you keep saying to me. thank you. you are incredible. i hope that your birthday was amazing! you should hopefully get a letter soon. >
mom: i am reading in alma right now with the stripling warriors. man, they were so so amazing. so much faith. this morning i read the scripture that everyone always quotes in chap 56:47-48. it reminded me of your first email to me while i was here, telling me how you knew i could do it and that i was going to do it. i hated that email when i first read it, not going to lie. i just wanted you to tell me that everything was going to be fine if i went home. thank you so much for me so much smarter than me. mothers really do have a special insight on their children. i can do this because you have faith in me and you have not doubted me. you are with all those amazing mothers of those young men. >
cader: this morning i was reading in D&C 13:1 and thought of you. you have that priesthood!!!! you have a power that is higher than most people in the world. you have the power of GOD!!! you have the "keys to the ministering of angels!!" reading that this morning made me so proud of you, thinking back to the first and only time i have gotten to see you pass the sacrament. what an amazing thing that you can do, giving people the sacred sacrament. always remember how important you are and the power that you hold!!> >
I also read D&C 31. love it. it is my perfect scripture and is going to be one that i read almost every day from now on. > >
hah sorry this is so random, i just write a list of things and then go through them in my letter. >
andie lou, thank you for writing me!!! i will try to get a letter back to you soon! i am SO SO proud of you! dont worry, my first semester i had no idea what was going on, i didnt get the best grades!! my tip: go use the TAs as much as possible!!! and elle, awesome job with tennis!!! keep working hard!! especially in school so you, andie, and i can all go to school together!!! :)>
The work here is going along very well. we havent had time to invite (go tracting) in weeks because we spend all our time teaching. we try to invite along the way. we have 5. yes 5 people with baptismal commitments right now. that is way high for here!! we are really excited about that, i hope taht their testimonies can continue to grow and we can get them all in the water. just yesterday we asked a girl named bow. we have taught her only 2 times before. she is someone that has been truly prepared. she 19, going to nursing school at a catholic university, the only one here, but she is buddist. she has gone to other churches and knows that there has to be one true church, and knows that there is a God. she reminds me of elle, tall (well for a thai person, still a lot shorter than me) and super tiny. >
this morning we took what we call a khlong monster, the boats that take us up into the city. i kind of felt like i was on the jungle cruise at disneyland, but with buildings everywhere, or more of its a small world. this place is just so different. huge gold wats, crazy trees and flowers tall buildings, lots of trash and little shacks with clothes hanging out lining the river. i thought about a book i love "travels with charlie" i wonder what charles dickens would have thought and written about if he ventured to thailand. this place really is unlike anything else. i with you could all see it with me. this truly is a great experience, i just wish it wasnt soooooo long!!! i am 1/4 done though, another month and i will only have a year left!!>
well, i am about out of time. i LOVED reading the emails from the kids:) ill try to get letters to them again soon. and thank you for all of you that write me. i really love hearing from all of you, it keeps me carrying on and gives me hope. i read them often through the week:)>
i love love love you all. chan rag khun!!!!! i miss you so much.>

ok well i forgot my list of things i wanted to talk about of corse. im going to start with what i forgot to say 2 weeks ago.
i had my first experience with haring. yeah the fish you hang over your head an eat. first off you can barely hold it its so slippery.now if thats not a sign not to eat it i dont know what is. i was hiding in the backgroung hoping that they wouldnt see me when they were eating it. its to bad you always have to be within sight and sound to your companion. it was really disgusting. i just about threw up. but when i saw sister and brother brubaker. my mission pres do it i knew there was no letting some old lady show me up.
this week has been a week of accidents. first we were walking down the street. and came upon a rather larger woman who had hit a pole on her scooter. the scooter was right behind the pole smashed into pieces. and the woman was laying on the ground 10 feet from the scooter. she couldnt move it was really sad. there were people around helping. i never knew the outcome. we had to catch the bus. then a couple days later we were eating at a members. and as we were leaving. (the members were going to drop us off at the station) we say some comosion down on the corner. i was thinking thats strange. then a cop car came flying by. wow! so we drove by to see what it was. there was a man 52 yrs old lying on his back on the street. unconcious. he was gtting cpr. the chest pumps and everything. time past more and more neighbors were gathering around. still nothing though. it had been 5 min or so then an ambulance showed. they got the shots and ivs and the shocker out still nothing. the mom was over him crying. its was really sad. he passed away. so we said a little prayer on the spot for him and his wife. It was such an eye opener on how fragile life is. its such a gift. and there are people like his wife everywhere who are longing for the gospel and need it in their lives. the next day we saw a girl get hit by a car on her bycicle. luckily she got up and everything was ok. I think somebody is trying to say something to me.
well on lighter news. Felix a man that i contacted on exchanges is getting baptised. the elders from eindhoven will be doing it on the 31 oct. chhabi is still on for the baptism. he asked our mission ward leader to baptise him. and me to give him the holy ghost. its good to have a member of the ward baptise so he can always have a connection with the ward. our bishop on the other hand is kindof shady. i guess in the past the it is really hard to get the bishop to cooperate. now he is not answering phone calls or e mails from our mission ward leader about it its kinda wierd.
right now im on my way to our district p day. we will probably play soccer. its kinda cold out there. then tommorow is exchanges with the district leader. i will be working with him in breda tomorrow. ok well i know im forgetting something i always do.
yo alex w. wasup homie. thanks for the email. same to richy your a stud muffin top. chris nine dots son. shanny (chan) goonies never say die holmes. cam use your freakin talent. mom dad miss ya till next week. chickidy check you later. oh yeah you can write me if you want its ok ......... everybody games even gramma games

Hello everyone who i miss so much!>
Life is slowly getting better.>
wednesday night we spent the night in bungnaa, an area about an hour away to help sister oneil and witchitra. they had to move houses the day before, and then both got called out of the area! we went so we could help with the house, and then take two taxis in the morning with all their stuff and bikes. then thursday came an awesome surprise. we got sister oneil in our companionship!!! sister oneil is my phii, or the girl that was 6 weeks in front of me in the mtc. she is so awesome, so happy all the time, and so loving. i kindof feel like i have a mom with me in the mornings, she actually comes upstairs every morning and gives me a huge hug and makes me smile all day. her hugs are awesome, it makes it so much better. i am so grateful to Heavenly Father for sending her here. the next 5 more weeks are going to be good, though im sad that thats all i have for this tricompanionship. they are both awesome companions, and i am in an awesome area. i have been really blessed, i am just worried that i have all the best in the beginning! we have been noticing the power of three in so many things!! our theme for this moves is 2 ne 11:3. hah we gave funny little nicknames, like the apostle, but we are sis oneil- peatrice>
me- jamie, sis hulme- johanna. oh missionaries are so wierd, but i guess it is what we do to keep ourselves sain!> >
wednesday for pday we went to "da mall" which is what the malls are called.. we shopped in a market outside (where i got some cute shirts for 3 american dollars) in the market there was a whole line of tatoo places, like 7 of them, where people can just go and sit and get a tatoo right there. there were a bunch of people i saw getting them. i dont know, but it just made me sad to see how satan is just so good at getting us to mark our temples in so many ways. > >
thursday night as we were riding our bikes home a little early (the office elders had to bring a bunch of furniture to us for the 3some) from teaching some new investigators on the "sidewalk" and my light shined on a huge gray thing in front of me. it was an elephant! my first one ive seen here. two guys were just leading it down the road.. cade, i named it after you, just like i promised:) also, yesterday as we were biking by our house, a HUGE lizard thing went running across the road- i think it is a moniter lizard. FREAKY!!!! i tried to get a picture, but it was gone before i could:( > >
a few days ago we recieved a call from someone that we contacted awhile ago, wanting a picture of christ. as we talked to her, we found she wanted it so that she could pray to it. images are just so important here! we are meeting with her tomorrow, hah weve got a lot to teach. > >
its amazing how the Lord really does direct us. everyday, even when things seem not to be working out, we are always led to the place where we need to be. for example, on sunday we went to try and contact a referral that the elders gave us that we havent been able to find. it was at this green shack that a lady sells fruit in front of. the lady really wasnt interested (probably just in the farang men- the elders- that were talking to her. then we started talking to the lady that lives in the shack and ended up teaching her and a daughter a lesson right there inside her gate on 3 inch high stools on the ground in front of her house, with beer bottles, trash, and cigarette butts everywhere inside and the house made out of metal pieces thrown together and random stairs and levels jutting out, and chickens and smelly dogs walking around. a big family lives there, it was actually a pretty big shack that went way far back. family members kept coming out from all over the place, a few men in their towels, and girls listening from the "window" above us (a space in the metal that has a metal flap that can be opened). the lesson was good and we are coming back next sunday! i hope that this goes somewhere, and that we can help this family with the amazing message that we have to share. i hope this is the family that we have been praying for. > >
the people here are so kind. the members are always so willing to help us, and are always feeding us and giving us food. when we go to teach people, sometimes they give us fruit to take home or food that they sell (when we teach at markets) when we know that they have nothing. it is actually really hard for me to accept it, but i have to knowing itis how they show love. yesterday we were teching a taxi driver and at the end he told us that it was for free. he wouldnt let us pay, saying thank you for teaching him about our church. then later we were walking at a market getting dinner and one of our english students from wed nights came up and gave us a bag full of apples. i am grateful i am in a place where the people are so kind. > >
sorry, this email is getting rushed, im running out of time. \> >

ok its raining.
how about general conference? on saterday we took Chabbi to see the first session. we had to drive with a member down to antwerpen in belgium to seit in antwerpens church. it was good he liked it. so on sunday we took him again. it was a long day . we met him at the train station at eight thirty. then watched priesthood then the first session then there was a baptism then we watched the second session. we didnt leave the church all day. Chabbi is amazing. we taught him about fasting. so sunday he decided to fast. he made it the whole day watching people eat and everything. plus sitting through 12 hours of church stuff is hard. it was great.
on a harsher note it always smells like weed around here. everybody smokes it. but it also smells like mentos because there is a mentos candy factory in town. you can smell it from miles away. ok the other day we had a room check. the senior couples do them and they are so sweet. they saw we needed some blankets. so they took us to ikea. oh man was that quite the trip. we were driving down bike trails almost hitting bikers. swerving around cars. man it was fun.
taryn if you can hear me waaaaazuuuuuup. its so sad to hear about thomas. he was one amazing kid. my prayers go out to his family.
so the date for the baptism is for the 17. but i wouldnt be surprised if it happens on the tenth. it was mixed up because of general conference. chan man go get your patriaricle blessing its rad. this week everything we planned went through it was great. well im out of time. goonies never say die. mom and dad love ya keep those papers with ink on them flying. doi
ps court i checked out both of yor bloggs they are pretty cool. mom any news on the posters? peace

ok hey! whats going on. i wish i could see the mountains in utah right now! ahhhh.
so everything is still moving along here in breda. we have to move Chhabis baptismaal date to the 10 or 17. he was kindof disapointed he wants to get baptized now. he loves church.
this week we had 5 investigators in church. it was good. there is a kid from Cameroon. icant remember if i said anything about him but he is an illegal that has spent some good time in jail. cameroon wont take him back and the netherlands doesnt want him. he is stuck. its really sad. he has nowhere to go. he loves the gospel though. he loves jesus just like any other african.
ok my ankle aint gettin any better. i dont know what to do for it. and my knee also. its always about the same. my knee only hurts at night. what should i doooo?
oh yeah mini pmg i would love one. my comp cut his hair this morning. holy cow. i think he did it with a weed whacker. seriosly i almost peed my pants. i didnt say anything though. im going to try and sneak a picture.
oh yeah yesterday we went to this giant old folks home there is a inactive there because she pretty much cant walk. those places are depressing, we were in the elevator and a really old man rode in on his electric wheelchair. i asked him how he was. he sais. "elke dag is het zelfde, oud worden is een zegen...oud zijn is enn ramp" it means every day is the same. to get old is a blessing... to be old is a disaster. it was an eye opener. it makes me want to live life to its fullest, and never waste a moment.
i dont have much more to say. chan loyal whats up son.? mom thanks for the letter. your amazing. dad whats up? i saw an Austin Healey the other day. my laungage skills are still strugglin. ahh well, thanks for eveything! I believe in Christ so come what may. see youuu laaattteeerrr skater

Hey family~>
TIme is slowly beginning to roll a little, it doesnt seem like and eternity since last time i have written.. tomorrow is moves, i am finally not a greeny anymore! i have almost been in country for 2 months, man those have been long. 4 days will mark the 4 month mission mark for jord and i. holy cow it has been so long. i really hope that time begins to go faster. i pray that time begins to go faster. everyday. i miss you all so much. i am really trying to do what prez hinkley did a long time ago on his mission, forgetting myself and going to work. i am really trying. it is just so hard to think about how long this is going to be.> >
first, i want to start with andie. where are you?! i havent heard from you in two months!!! i am dying to hear all about everything. do you get my emails? mom said that you are doing well at BYU, youd better not be married, or even close, when i get home! i am serious!!! we have some fun times of living together ahead that i long for every day.. keep your head up. dont worry too much about grades, especially your first semester, that semester was filled with my worst grades. man i miss you. oh, and i sent the eagles a letter, i hope that they got it. it you see nate, ask him if he got it, and make him write back! elle, i hope everything is still good! i got your cute letter you put in the package, thank you. write me soon! cade, paige, coops and ash, i miss you so much. i really do. you are the reason why i am having such a hard time, but you are also what keeps me going, knowing that i am setting an example for you. please stay safe, and dont forget about me! i think about you a lot. >
This morning we sang "be still my soul' in english in comp study. it has been so long since i have sung a song in english first of all, and also when i opened the little hymnbook i have, i saw in the front where dad had written his name. it was hard for me to get through it. i have never really read those words, but i am hanging on them now, every word in that song. the last few words i am really depending on. "be still my soul, when change and tears are past, All safe and blessed we shall meet at last." i am counting on that. i look forward to that day so greatly. >
last thursday we had switchoffs again, sister williams, a sister who is "joping" or finishing her mission this week, came to saphaan sung and i lead area. it was hard, but a good experience being in charge of everything that day, the phone calls, where to go, what to do, leading the lessons.. oh man i wish i was in her spot right now. anyway, im getting sidetracked. we went to gan's. the 13 yr girl who is getting baptized on the 25. just as we were finishing the lesson, the rain started to not just pour, but waterfall down. the streets quickly were flooded. her grandpa wouldnt let us leave at first, but we had another appt and had to go. when we went outside, our bikes had tipped over. (mind you our helmets were on them, hence, in the flooding nasty water) somehow the other bike's kickstand got stuck in my spokes and chain. we tried to get them separated, but they wouldnt. her gr and gr came out with their umbrellas and finally after like 5 min of pulling with the rain falling so hard down, and the flood almost to our knees (i really dont know how he ended up doing it) we were able to separate them. then as we began biking, the chains were off. i had to put them both back on. we got to our next appt, which was at a delaad, or market. oat, a 20 yr old member who has very feminine tendencies- wears mascara, eyeliner, clips in his hair, and talks pretty femenine- but i really like him. anyway, we were there to teach his mom. he started laughing when i came in, i had grease all over my face from my hands. that was hard to get off!> >
on sunday i went on spits, sis hulme with our new convert, and then i went with sister my, a 24 yr old that speaks pretty good english. we were talking and she told me about a new job she is starting, 6 days a week for 12 hrs a day, chopping chicken. i felt bad for her, but she was so excited. she didnt tell me at first, but after a while i got it out of her that she was saving up for a mission. she is planning on going in 6 months after working and earning the money. these people have such great faith. she doesnt have any family in the church to support her, and is just so excited to go. it made me feels so guilty that i am here, got here so easily, and i am just wanting to be home with my amazing family. i hope that i can learn to appreciate and love this work. >
everyday i see the Lords hand in our work. just yesterday we had a cool experience. we just got done with teaching baa wan pen, and old pretty crazy member. hah ill have to write about her more later, but for just a small glimpse, i love singing with her at the beginning of lessons. she pulls out her magnifying glass and holds it right up to her eye, making her eye huge. then she goes through each page until she finds one that she wants to sing. then as we are singing, she is way off on both the tune and the beat, croaking as we sing along. it is one of those things that Heavenly Father gives me once a week to allow me to smile for a minute. anyway, we walked down the street to the busy street, and a songtaw, a pickup truck that has seats and a cover in the back that are everywhere here, its how we get around a lot of the time, was right there, which never happens. then things like this kept happening. we were in a grocery store because we had to make cookies (thanks court for your no bake cookie recipe:) ) for english class party tonight. we stopped to see what ingredients we needed, and this man came up to ask us if we speak thai. then he asked us for scriptures! we didnt have any on us, but we got his number, and also gave hima pass-along card with the office number on it and we are going to have our elders bring him one. it was neat to see this list of events that led us to be exactly where we were supposed to be at that time, another tender mercy from Heavenly Father helping me keep going. >
well i wish i could write more, but im about out of time. please let me know what you want me to write about. i love and miss you soooo much. please stay safe and healthy. >
love, sister young>
ps.. court and whitney, your emails are not boring, i LOVE them, it makes me feel like im not completely missing out on life at home.

Hey everyone!>
The days are getting a little teeny bit easier every day. I think it might be the fact that i have been out of the states for almost a month and a half now, only like 10 more of those! Im guessing jord has transfers this week, that is crazy he isnt a greeny anymore, ive still got two more weeks, this whole 7 week transfer is pretty long, especially to have for a first transfer. moves are in 2 weeks though! we only have 11 moves in country, and because of the holidays and everything, i think ill only have a little more than 9. mom and dad, i have a list of things that i already want to take you to and people to meet! oh how glorious that day is going to be. i c a n n o t wait!!!! >
The language is coming a little better every day, though the process is so slow. when i really try to pay attention to people talking, i can understand a lot of what they say, but it is hard to do that all day. by the end of the day my brain is fried!! i am excited for the day that i can express my feelings and be able to teach by saying anything that i want and not worry about people understanding. i feel that it will make time go a lot faster. It is the whole time commitment that kills me, if you havent noticed. I miss ALL of you so much, it feels like it is such a long time away. One thing that i am really benching on is that all missionaries say that the time goes by fast, especially after the 1st and 2nd moves. i am counting on that. I am really trying look at this all differently. i am trying to take it all in and appreciate it. trying to see my importance here, and that this is really is only going to be a small portion of my life and this is the only time in my life i will ever get to do this. also, something that has really helped is really relying on the scriptures. i have began to read them as soon as i get up for a little while before i exercise. i have learned to love my study time. i look forward to it every day. I hope that you all appreciate the sriptures and treasure them as i do right now. i wish that i had seen their importance and the treasure that they are before now. never in my life has prayer and the words of God been so essential and so special to me. Something that has helped me a lot the past week is something that Erin said in an email last week about her mission (other than the fact that she said the time will pass quickly) she mentioned a picture of me amd her before her mission. that that same little girl is who Heavenly Father sees. it really hit me that he is my father. that as much as i am dying to be in dads arms right now, i have another father who loves me even more. That i have Him to comfort me in this struggle while i am away from my amazing earthly parents. One thing that i cant comprehend yet though is that he loves each of us, every person that much. how is that possible? how is it possible for HIm to know me so well? all i know is that He really does. He has helped me so much during this refiners fire that i am going through. I am going to continue to try to comprehend that though.> >
THis past week has had some exciting events.>
1. i got your package. thank you SOO much! i cant tell you how wonderful it is to get those things. That is something that i have really realized the past few weeks is how many people love me. that keeps me carrying on. i read your words every morning from previous emails and it urges me onward. thank you so very much. you are all so thoughtful. oh, random thing, i sent a package a few days ago. im sorry it is not too exciting. i went to send it and it was 55$, it is way expensive sending things from here. so, i had to downsize it, you should get it in like 3 weeks??my plan now is that i will collect some hopefully fun things the next couple of weeks and then i will send another package through boat mail, which takes like 3 months, but is 3xs cheeper.. i put my sd card in there though, hopefully you will enjoy those pictures! > >
2. we had switchoffs last thur night and friday. i went to dindang, which is the heart of bangkok. there are people everywhere!!!! it is so huge!!! it made me really grateful for my area and my invesitgators and sister hulme. coming back was comforting. i didnt realize how much i had made this place a part of me already. we went to lunch on friday in dindang and just as we were about to eat a huge fire broke out under the bridge we were right next to. it was crazy! we watched for a minute, but then got scared that something was going to happen and booked it out of there as black smoke was billowing into the little side restaurant (really just an open area with tables and a little kitchen) the most funny part is that people were still driving over the bridge through black smoke and as pieces were melting off the bridge. firetrucks didnt come for like 15 minutes. thailand...> >
3. gan and min, two of the little girls we are teaching got permisison to be baptized! gan was already being taught, she has actually been going to church with her neighbor for like 4 years already and missionaries didnt realize she wasnt a member until a few moths ago. but, min will be the first person that i have taught from the beginning. she is actually only 11, but already has a strong tesimony. she and i have a bond already. she is a person that i feel i was supposed to be here for. we taught the word of wisdom last week and she has already denied drinking coffee that her mom bought for her. people here have such faith. i hope she can continue in this faith. >
time is up, i hope i havent bored you all with my rambling. it is nice to get my feelings out. one more thing that has been part of my foundation for keeping going is jordans last letter that he sent. first he listed a bunch of way to avoid eating food, haha it was pretty funny and i have actually already used one. but the thing that lifts me up everymorning when i read his letter is that he said "we are in this together." even though he is so far away, it is comforting to know that we are both doing the same thing, going through the same thing. i think of him several times during the day and try to picture what he is doing at that moment. man i love him. we have grown up together and i have always looked up to him, but his incredible faith and strength has made him one of my heros. he has become one of my best friends. i know he is already such and incredible misisonary. >
sorry, one last thing that also urges my forward is what grandma pam said a few weeks ago. you are a young and a robert. you can do this. we can do this. we can do anything together. i know that this is true. i know with families anything is possible, especially mine. i feel bad for anyone that isnt in our family, i truly have the best in the world!!!!!!!!!! i love you all!!! i miss you so so much> >
love, sister young>
ps. ask me any questions you want. i dont know what kind of things that you like to hear..

3. gan and min, two of the little girls we are teaching got permisison to be baptized! gan was already being taught, she has actually been going to church with her neighbor for like 4 years already and missionaries didnt realize she wasnt a member until a few moths ago. but, min will be the first person that i have taught from the beginning. she is actually only 11, but already has a strong tesimony. she and i have a bond already. she is a person that i feel i was supposed to be here for. we taught the word of wisdom last week and she has already denied drinking coffee that her mom bought for her. people here have such faith. i hope she can continue in this faith. >
time is up, i hope i havent bored you all with my rambling. it is nice to get my feelings out. one more thing that has been part of my foundation for keeping going is jordans last letter that he sent. first he listed a bunch of way to avoid eating food, haha it was pretty funny and i have actually already used one. but the thing that lifts me up everymorning when i read his letter is that he said "we are in this together." even though he is so far away, it is comforting to know that we are both doing the same thing, going through the same thing. i think of him several times during the day and try to picture what he is doing at that moment. man i love him. we have grown up together and i have always looked up to him, but his incredible faith and strength has made him one of my heros. he has become one of my best friends. i know he is already such and incredible misisonary. >
sorry, one last thing that also urges my forward is what grandma pam said a few weeks ago. you are a young and a robert. you can do this. we can do this. we can do anything together. i know that this is true. i know with families anything is possible, especially mine. i feel bad for anyone that isnt in our family, i truly have the best in the world!!!!!!!!!! i love you all!!! i miss you so so much> >
love, sister young>

ok a cool story. yesterday at church some random dude pulls up with the bishop. im like ok. cool. ok so the story goes. this guy is from Nepal he doesnt speak any dutch he is not a member. i could actually comunicate with someone! he has been lookin for the church for 7 months. he told me all this. he lives in a reffugee camp in our area. from what i hear not the nicest place. he had tried calling the church building and nothing. because nobody is in the church unless it is on sunday. so for 7 months he looked. finally he called the den haag temple. they gave him our bishops number. he called the bishop on saturday. the bishop was kindof sceptical about it but offered to pick this guy up at the station before church. this guy his name is schhapi yeah dont ask me how to pronounce it. he rode his bike for 45 min to get to the station. and the bishop picked him up. then dropped him off at church thats when i saw him. so i took him in for our first meeting priesthood. started to ask him questions. he had gone to the church in nepal for 2 years on and off iguess. but he couldnt understand it because it was in english. so he started to study english and started to learn about joseph smith and temples and the priestood. which was great becausethe meeting was all about temples and joseph smith. i think he started to get teary eyed. it was awesome! he says to me "i want to become baptized" i was like ok i think we can arrange that. he wants to learn more. he thought all the church meetings in the world were done in english. so he learned it. then he gets here looks for the church for 7 months and its in dutch. we had to translate for him. he is awesome. we are meeting with him tonight. i guess his sister is a member and his brother in law is a branch pres in nepal. i will find out more tonight and let you know.. to be continued ha ha ha

Hey Everyone~>
I cant tell you how wonderful all of your letters were that i recieved last week, and i know they will be when i read the ones i got today as well. i have read them every morning as i go through my really hard hours. Thank you so much to all, i cant tell you how much it means to have people supporting from home and that all is pretty much the same at home. it is really comforting.> >
I have been here for a month so far, boy has it been a long month. The language is still killing me. i usually can understand when my companion talks, but when natives speak i can only pull out words here and there and try to figure out what they are saying. then when it comes to me speaking, lets just say it is hard. people are impressed with how i have picked it up, but i really dont see it. these tones and everything are so hard, i hope that i can pick up this language soon so that i can actually communicate with people. > >
Our investigators are doing well, we are continually teaching, but most just like religion. they think that anything that teaches a person to good is good. the phrase i hear every day traslates to something like "every church is good" they dont see the importance of one religion. our three cute teenage girls are still struggling with their grandparents. they want to get baptized, and their parents would give them permission, but all three of their grandparents wont give them permission, so stuck in buddhist tradition. >
We had quite the night on sunday. our investigator that got baptized a few weeks ago was supposed to come teach with us, but didnt show up. we called her to go to a members for dinner, but instead found out that she had just been abused by her ex husband and father of her 2 children that found her at her college she is going to. she told us she would rather just stay home and read her scriptures. i cant beleive the faith of these people. we rushed to her apartment and suprised her. it was so so hard to see her. when we came she was on her thin pad that she rolls out on the ground reading the book of mormon, (which she actually finished reading that night, she started 2 months ago). her apartment consisted of a tiny room, a blanket, a fan (it was so hot in there) her clothes hanging on a rack, a picture of christ in a frame on the ground, a pile of church books, and a picture of her two kids (who live a few hours away at her moms so that she can afford to send them to school) a teeny bathroom with a squatter toilet and a little shower head above it to shower under. no little fridge or anything. she had bruises on her body, a huge goose egg on her forhead, a black eye, and scratches down her arm. all she said was that she was praying the whole time and how grateful she was that Heavenly Father helped her so that someone came and she was able to run away without things getting worse. we ran to the store and bought a bunch of food for her and some ice, an ox in the myer day. it made me feel so guilty for wanting to go home so badly, but then there are people like her that work so hard and would really have nothing without the church. i am still struggling, which makes me feel so guilty, but it makes me want to push through this until at least next august. i know i can do it. i have to do it. > >
a little more about thailand. let me start with the taxi rides. insane, and there are no seat belts. they make lanes wherever they want, and i dont think that there are speed limits here. i have gotten pretty used to it though now. biking is also pretty sketchy, especially when we go into the bigger part of the city, riding our bikes on the highway with cars and buses zooming around us and stopping right in front of us, it reminds me of the nintendo game frogger... i just pray everytime and knowthat Heavenly Father will protect me because i am here serving him. >
Transvestites are pretty common around here. i see one atleast every few days. we actually kindof teaching one and gave him a book of mormon. we eat at his/her restaurant-side of the road kitchen with a few chairs- quite often, hes a good cook and so nice. also, it is not uncommon to see men with makeup on, and a lot wear little clips in their hair. >
one thing that i am finally getting used to is that in thai you talk in third person. whenever i talk and want to say me, my, or i, i have to say "sister". if i was talking to lets say andie and wanted to ask her something, i would say "did andie read the book of mormon and pray?" then she would answer saying "andie did". it gets so confusing. also, everyone goes by a nickname here. no one even knows eachothers real names, and they change their names whenever they want. they are named the most random things, sometimes english things. for example right now we are teaching an arm, new, and oat. i cant think of the other funny ones, ill get back to you on that. >
i have used a few squatter toilets already, they are usually pretty dirty and nasty. so awkward. then the worst part is that there isnt toilet paper, just a bucket with a cup in it that you are supposed to splash on yourself. i bring tissue with me now, which is also useful to use all day to wipe off the sweat off your face a few times a day. >
i am covered in mosquito bites. luckily the bites here arent as bad as in the states. but for some reason, just like the states, the mosquitos think my blood is so tasty. i always get way more bites that the others. > >
this morning during personal study, one of the monks dressed in his orange robes came around for food, which they do every morning. i finally was able to catch a little bit of it on video out the window. make sure that you watch the videos i send, i hope they are cool. the people give them food and then they do this crazy chant thing blessing the house as the people are bowing to them. oh this is not america. > it is hard to get up every morning and realizing where i am and how much longer i have. i dont feel like i will ever get to go home. i really miss you all so much. i hope the time starts to go faster. i am trying to focus on other people and serve them, i hope i can get lost in the work soon. i really miss you so much. i hope all is well at home. andie, i am so excited for you to be in the dorms, such an amazingly fun year. i am so sorry i am not there, i really wish i was. elle, you are in high school! i want to hear all about it! i cant believe that you can drive this year. cade, i hear you are dominating in football and also in jr high, you a such a stud. paigey, i miss you a lot. keep working hard at the harpand be brave, i will be home soon enough and we can be buddies again! coops, keep being the awesome kid you are and listen to mom and dad! ash, i miss you. i miss having you with me all the time, i look so forward to that day when i can be with you all again. mom and dad, you are incredible. it is impossible to put into words how amazing you are and how perfect of parents you are. thank you for all that you have done and all of your sacrifices. i love you so much. i cant wait for the day when we are all reunited and can have family prayer as a whole family again. oh the day. >
well, it is time to go. i hope everyone is doing well. you are incredible. > >

Well as most of you know, the past few weeks have been really hard. I hope that it gets easier. Thailand is so so so different from Utah! I dont know where to start with describing this place. I am in Saphaan Sung, a suburb west of bangkok. Most of this area is like townhomes with no yard, just a porch and a gate in the front. Many homes are turned into a little store or restaurant in front of their house. then there are people all over the streets, especially in the evening that bring out their carts and sell on the side of the street or in big markets. you can find anything in the markets from used shoes, the most crazy looking food, fruit, to clothes. none of the fruit, even the bananas, are the same as america. a lot of it is pretty good, but some i just cant get used to. there are people that ride up and down the streets on motorcycles or bikes with stands attached to them, ringing their bell and announcing loudly what they are selling, from brooms (which are a bunch of sticks gathered together, no such thing as a normal broom here.) ice cream in a green hotdog bun, fruit, and many other things. There are animals everywhere. Just this morning we had a frog jump into the house as i was washing my bowl in the little sink that is in the backyard. geccos are everywhere, ive gotten used to them. it is common to have atleast one on the wall. big cows are constantly in the street, going where ever they want. on the way over to email i almost hit a goat that was in the street. the worst are the dogs though. they are nasty looking, and some of them are mean. they are everywhere because buddhists dont believe in killing them. I have learned that if you bend down as if you are picking up a rock to throw at them they usually leave you alone, if not you get on your bike and pedal as fast as you can. >
It is really really hot. the only time that i am cool is at night in our bedroom, in the 711's, and in the sacrament meeting room. as we study and excercise we constantly have fans that we move around with us. >
The homes here are usually very small. they would die at the size of our house. many places that we teach have only one room where they have folded blakets in the corner that they sleep on, their clothes hanging up on a rack, a 1/2 size fridge (i havent seen a normal sized one since ive been here) a tiny bathroom (with squatter toilets, that has been interesting) and then a little porch with a gas stove to cook on. > >
There are tons of motorcycles and scooters here that are used for so many different things. not only do they use them to sell from, i have seen people transport huge things pedaled by a bike. they pile people on them as well, it is rare to see a single biker, there is always someone on the back that they are pedaling. there are always a ton of people piled on the motorcycles, my record so far is seeing 5. a common use for transportation here is motorcycle taxis. the women usually sit sideways on the back, i dont know how they do it. > >
THe people are very relaxed, usually hanging out in front of their house. most of them are very kind. every time we enter a home we take off our shoes and then sit on the floor (my legs always fall asleep). i have only sat on i think 2 chairs while teaching. they always bring out water for us, and some times fruit or other interesting things. i have been amazed at what the Lord has helped me eat at both investigator and members homes. i think the most nasty thing so far has been at a members it was a whole fish, eyeballs, scales, and all. i had to eat everything but the bones and eyeballs. > >
we have big thunderstorms often, usually at night. our street floods pretty badly everytime. we have to ride through it, trying not to get our shoes wet with the nasty water. i dont want to know what kind of stuff is in it. right by our house is a field that people feel they can throw their trash on, so we ride by a long stretch of stinky trash piles every day. part of our area is farming and rice fields which are fun to see also.> >
the work is alright here. we do a lot of teaching, it is just so hard for them to convert. some of our investigators know that it is true, but they just wont do it because of the social thing, they just cant give up buddhism. in front of almost every home is a little birdhouse thing for the good spirits to live to keep away the evil spirits. one thing i find ironic is there is alway some kind of alcohol offering in front of it. also in every home and all over the streets are pictures of the queen and king. >
we actually had a baptism last sunday, my trainers first one. the baptismal font is in the back of the church, it looks like a big metal cooking pot. i took some pictures of the back of the church and the font, ill get those to you soon. >
well im about out of time. thank you thank you thank you everyone who wrote me, it really helps me keep going. i hope i can do this, this has been a very long three weeks. >
i love you all so much, and miss you more than i can express. >

ok well i have no time because we are doing district p day in eindhoven and we are emailing in a place with no printer dangit!. well mom im picking that package up tonight it came when i was not there. this week was good. i dragged a non active member. 18 year old punk out of bed yesterday to go to church he hasnt been for a long time. but he came yesterday. his mom was in awe. never thought i would be doing that. mom we have alot of pass olong cards and things. but the ctr rings sound good. how is taryn doing? can you forward me her e mails? there is probably 100 members or so in church mayby less. the ward is starting to warm up a little to the missionaries. we eat with members 2 or 3 times a week. its usually the same people but sometimes different. i will get some names for you mom i dont have time right now because this whole district p day threw everything off. yes i need some cool stickers for my bike. i actually made one for myself last night. i guess the dutch are really cheap and no my comp is not a good cook . our meals consist of mac and chese top ramen turkey sandwiches. juice. cereal. pasta. candy chocolate , crackers ect..
on sat we were doing service at the church. cleaning it and this asian girl saw us and came running toward us. she spoke no english then asked or tried tio ask when church was and if we were mormon. and she said she would be at church. then she ran off. didnt get her info and she didnt come to church hopefully next week.
there is crime but i dont really see it. there are 17 mill people that live here and there are 18 mill bikes . 750 thousand stolen each year. more bikes than people. no we dont have to wear helmets. only mission in the world with that, God knew what he was doing. he knew not to mess up my hair.sorry bout it son. well see ya next week love jord

HI!>
you should have gotten an email from President Smith last week, if you didnt, check your junkmail?? This week has been really really hard. every morning i have gotten up and been so homesick that my stomach gets sick and i feel that i am about to throwup. I have never ever felt like this. I cant help but cry every morning. as soon as i get up to say my prayers it starts. yesterday it got so bad that as i was trying to exercise i hardly had energy to stand. i layed on the floor and just cried. i started not being able to breath, i was so dizzy, and my arms went numb. i cant eat anything in the morning, it just makes me sick. i feel like such a wimp.i have never ever felt like this. i never thought i was someone that could feel like this. its like there is something in my brain that just isnt right. i just cant help it. It gets a little better during the day,i force myself to act like i am happy. then when i return at night i begin to get really nervous and eat a lot knowing what is in store for the morning. Last night i was determined not to let it happen again.the street dogs start barking really early and woke me up as usual. the whole time laying there i tried to focus on the investigators and not think about home. i got up to say my prayers and then started exercising. i was able to exercise, but i still feel the same. my hearbeat races so fast, stomach sick, shakey, and i feel more nervous than i did before big track meets or the nutcracker. for the past week i have been praying for help from Heavenly Father to help me have happiness and help me have the desire and strength to do this, but not one thing changed. i got a blessing, but still no change. then this morning i prayed saying that i feel i have gotten the answer that this might not be the right thing and peace came over me, more than i have felt for the past 2 months. I dont know what to do. i cant stand the thought of being away for another 2 days, let alone another 15 months. I dont know why Heavenly Father would send me out here only to serve for a short time, but that is the only thing that i feel good about. that is the only thing that can keep me from going wierd again. I am so sorry i have to be like this. i am really trying to tuff this out, but it is taking everything i have. the thought keeps coming to me that i wish it could just be the second coming and then i could be with you right now and not have to worry about being here or going home. this cant be good for me. please pray and help me know what to do. i have never ever felt this low in my life. we have zone conference next wednesday and i am going to meet with prez smith and talk to him. please help me know what to do. because of zone conference, ill either be emailing on tues or thurs. oh, and please dont send any more packages or any thing in case i do come home. we dont get them until moves (transfers) anyway. i have never felt so stuck in my life.>
k now i am going to stop being so wierd and tell you about thailand. >
I think this is the most different place in the world. i am able to understand a lot of what they say, but struggle in responding. i am able to help out in lessons a bit though.. >
there is so much to tell you. I am in saaphaan suung, very east of bangkok. it is still city, but no big buildings, and there are a few fields that we bike past. we bike a lot. there are people everywhere selling things on the streets and people are constantly riding up and down the streets with their vendor bikes announcing what they are selling. the driving is crazy. the traffic amount is a lot like utah valley, but they dont really have rules-or dont follow them... they make lanes where ever they want. they are patient though, there is never any honking. they do drive on the wrong side of the road. SO hard to get used to! i always take the turns too short or too wide on my bike. the food is not what everyone says. some of it is good, but a lot of it is quite gross. i have found that my body allows me to eat anything that is offered to me though. i have already eaten some pretty nasty looking things like whole fish that they just put on the table, eyes scales and all. i say a prayer and somehow get it down. >
i think i have seen 1 american looking person since i have been here besides the elders. we stand out like a sore thumb, especially me. i havent seen a blue eye since i left the mission home. they LOVE the "farangs" - american looking people.. they the people are very nice. i dont think that i have met one person that hasnt said "gang" which means i speak well, says "suay" which means beautiful, or comments on my eyes. i think a lot of them just want to talk to us because we are from america. they are very polite, always bringing out glasses of water for us. speaking of water, i have never drank so much in my life, and somehow hardly ever have to go to the bathroom. i think i sweat it all out. >
A lot of the homes and apartments that i have gone in only have one room with a small 1/2 size fridge, a mattress on the floor, their clothes in plasic drawers, a small bathroom, and a teeny deck with a gas stove to cook on. i have only seen 2 homes, which were the nicest homes, that had furniture. usually we sit on the hard floor during the lessons. >
i wish i had time to write about the investigators, i didnt plan my time writing wisely. >
sorry this is from a story that i started to write, but i dont have time. ill have to tell you about it when i see you.....i love cabs-air conditioning. only other time it is less than 98 degress is when in the church or in our bedroom, and it is still about 80 degrees in those places... >
i am so sorry that i am a dissappointmet. please pray and help me know what to do. i love you so much and miss you much( hah that it has literally made me sick... ) >

Ok well this week was cool. Leadville sounded so fun. Oh man! Mom i finally got your package. and court thanks I got yours too! Rich i cant believe you went to leadville dang that souds fun. Chris did you take your camera for that bear! Did you get my letter yet mom an dad? i sent another one today. how was the skate park in leadville? how did mike do? Dad how was californa?
the other day some guy let us in his house. we were doing bellups. its where you ring the door and if they want they can open the door for you. he lived on like the 8 th floor of a cool building in Eindhoven. we were there for district meeting. but his appartment was rad we talked to him on the balcony. and i looked down in the parking lot and there was a really cool lotus super 7. this guy was kindof crazy. we thought he was somewhat normal at first. he looked normal. he told us he was super religious. then he asked us if he could let us in on a little secret. i got all excited that he was going to let us in on something dang good. he sais " Crop circles" yep its a sign from God. he then said he was going to change the world in the next 3 years. you will see he sais. he was nice just a little odd.
oh and the elder nelson thing was rad. all the missionaries from the whole mission were there. it was the first time ever that everyone from the mission have joined all together. it was in Rotterdam. rotterdam is rad. he talked about the holy gohst and stuff and took the time to shake everybodys hand. he also did a question and answer type thing. he is a stud. after that we rode the train to eindhoven and slept there because my comp had a leadership training meeting. the next day we met up with harry. a 79 year old convert who lives on a missionary schedule. we drove down to belgium to a wedding. it was in Leuven. It was one of the members of our ward. We also did contacting in the centrum in Eindhoven. it was scary at first. but you meet some cool people.
i think im getting fat. all i do is go to appointments then come home and eat chocolate and goods all day. oh boy. or more like dough boy. oh yeay mom when you send a package dont claim it for more than 30 dollars or something. it costs me money if its too much. you could probably check the internet for the exact price. Yesterday there was a harley convention in breda there were 11000 bikers. 3 investigators came to church yesterday. it was great. 2 of them have baptismal dates so i hope they keep them. i know one of them will. except he has to wait till december when he gets married. there are so many different things that keep people from coming to church. a lot of the time it is that they live too far away. and dont have the money. and its super hard for people to be baptised because they have to give up so much. like sleeping in on sunday. ha ha but alot of them smoke and drink and thats a tough one. the language is still coming super slow. im working hard on it. we are the only ones in our are.
the food im eating is not much different than what i ate before . mom tell me some good things i could make. its hard though with no money. i think i might have to take some more money out of my account this week. i get along with my comp pretty good. we have little skuffles here and there. yes we have one phone in our companionship. it is super usefull. Yeah weve eaten at members homes. and ive eaten some pretty weird things. especially at our ward mission leaders home hes african. our area is pretty big it covers all of tilburg and more all of the little towns closebye.my newest favorite food is probably juice. we drink alot of it.
havnt bought a skatebhoard. yet. im so jealous you guys got to go to vail. i just washed my hair with the little shampoo bottle we got from the hotel last time ha ha thanks for throwing that in mom ha ha true robert style.well ig2g love you all write me jordan Morgan you better write me when you get you call i guess belgium brussels netherlands. im so excited for you. peace out yo

Yeah weve eaten at members homes. and ive eaten some pretty weird things. especially at our ward mission leaders home hes african. our area is pretty big it covers all of tilburg and more all of the little towns closebye.my newest favorite food is probably juice. we drink alot of it.
havnt bought a skatebhoard. yet. im so jealous you guys got to go to vail. i just washed my hair with the little shampoo bottle we got from the hotel last time ha ha thanks for throwing that in mom ha ha true robert style.well ig2g love you all write me jordan Morgan you better write me when you get you call i guess belgium brussels netherlands. im so excited for you. peace out yo

ok wow im in some rondom library in breda typing an email. hi i made it! ok after the phone call in the airport. that was weird. Ive never gone through so many draumatic changes in my life. ok on the plane i sat by myself behind my group. i sat next to this rad belgian family that speaks french. the dad spoke a tiny bit of english. started to talk to him about the church and he was really interested. i ended up becoming really good friends w the family. there was a mom dad and two dauters. 15, 12, and the parents were 42 they just got done with a trip to california vegas and zion. i played sudoku on the plain with the mom for 2 hours. we couldnt talk to each other but we could play with numbers together. it was kindof like cowboys and indians. we exchanged food and stuff it was rad. i think one of the little girls had a little missionary crush on me ha ha. i talked to them about skiing and things. then we showed each other all our pictures. the 15 year old had a crush on chandler. chan she wanted your e mail address. sorry i didnt know it. but he gave me his nunber and email, and i gave him mine. and told me if i am ever in belgium i have to go visit him. he then asked me if i wanted to go skiing with his family in march. i was like ummmm i cant, DANGIT! but in two years i can. so told me we would do it. then they asked me if they could get a picture of me. so then i got one with them. it was rad. they were ready to be baptized.
so i get off the plane and the weather is perfect i didn sleep the whole plane ride and the night before. i was in europe! we got on a little bus that took us to the baggage claim. them i met my mission prez then we went to the mission office in brussels. it was so beautiful. all the buildings and everything.after the mission office we went to the mission home. took a quick nap. ive never been so tired in my life. then we went to the dedication site. it was this metior in the forest. then we went to the grand plaza. it was rad there is so many cool buildings and architecture. there are so many people. i love brussels. we then had to do our first contact. man that was weird. i felt like we were a circus act. then we ate in this little cute restarunt on this litte street ringht in the grand plaza. it was rad!cameron you probably wouldnt like any of the food out here. It is soo good. so after we got the tour of brussels. we went back to the mission home and we opened our calls, i got called to Breda, and my comps name is elder de bruijn. he is a native from amserdam . so the next morning stiill soo tired. we went to the train station. hoped on a train and we were off. then i got to see the ghetto side of belium or brussels. on the outskirts it was super ghetto. mom close your ears. we went passed a red light district and some really trashy areas. the netherlands is supposed to be a lot cleaner and nicer.
so i met my comp got off the bus in breda. and took a bus ito this cool little neighborhood and we were home our apartment is pretty nice. its not bad. one whole wall is pretty much windows. the outside has kindof got a modern look to it. anyway we had a dinner apointment that night and went over to a few invesigators houses i just listened because i cant understand a word of dutch. oh yeah our food apointment or dinner apointment . pretty much i wouldnt have eaten any of that on my own . but pretty much now i eat anything. so the next day i bought a bike then weve just been biking everywhere. there are bike trails everywhere. and little rivers. and rad houses. ive gotten to know a family that is really cool we are terying to get the mom to quit smoking so she can be re baptized. and we have the raddest black ward mission leader. he is such a stud. the other day we were biking through this really cool green farm with some cows and big tall trees it was beautiful. this is aabout 8 min away from my house. and looky looky out in the middle of this beautiful country out pops a 10 foot half pipe. i just about dumped my pants there was also a little spine. omg i almost fell off my bike. i doubt anybody can even ride it. ive been by it a few times and nobodys been on it it metal and it amazing. cameron get out here w your scateboard. the first time i see a skate shop im buying askateboard ha.
there is so much to write about but i have no time.

Dear Brother and Sister Robert,
Elder Robert has arrived safely! He looks excited and enthusiastic about his mission. We are delighted to have him with us. His first assignment will be in the city of Breda. His address will be:
Donk, 68
4824 CW Breda
Netherlands
We are continually impressed by the eagerness and strong testimonies of the new missionaries arriving in the mission field. We are happy for his addition to our missionary corps and assure you that we will do everything possible to make this a rewarding, cherished, and spiritual experience.
As you know, missionary work can be quite demanding. To help maintain a positive attitude for your missionary, communication from family and friends is especially important and should be supportive. May we make the following suggestions: write each week; make your letters optimistic and encouraging; avoid references to problems at home unless absolutely necessary; show genuine interest in your missionary’s daily activities and especially in his accomplishments.
Sister Brubaker and I wish to thank you for this ambassador of the Lord. We know that you will
be blessed during the service of Elder Robert. We have frequent opportunity to review each missionary’s situation and needs. We hold zone conferences one month and personal interviews the next month. We do our best to love, encourage, sustain all of our missionaries, and to take personal interest in each one of them. They keep me informed as to their specific circumstances through a weekly letter. If you know of anything that would help me in assisting your missionary, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Know that your missionary is in the hands of the Lord and under His protection (Matthew 28:19).
We are most appreciative of your constant support for your missionary.
Sincerely yours,
Scott M. Brubaker

Last night at dinner i was laughing, some of the elders in my district were fighting over who gets to date my little sisters when they get home!!! they are so awesome. president eyring told my branch president that only the best are sent to thailand. i completely believe that. the elders in my district are so amazing. we have become close friends. everyday is just packed with spirituality. for example, we had a lady come in and teach us some BOM history and she wanted to split us up into 2 groups because she says it is just too hard and doesnt work with large groups. there was no other time, so we all stayed together. when she left, she said that we are the most powerful district she has seen. our teachers and also others that have come in our classroom have said the same thing. i can truly say that i think i have the most amazing district in the MTC!!!>

Ok chandler, dont go diying on me now. That is crazy. The past few days I have felt like something crazy was going to happen to chandler or morg or rich. on their trip or something. now i know what it was. So the past few days in all my prayers ive prayed on their behalf fror their safety and to not let anything harm them. wow prayers really are answered. Im glad you are ok chan. I learned long ago not to try beating chandler in holding breath the kid is a freak. well it aint hard to beat chris and cam anyway. Ok well yesterday playing vollyball i came down on my ankle totally wrong and heard a huge pop.Dont know what that was. and dont know what to do with it. and the people dont know what to do here either. so if someone could help me out(mike) but i know hes in powell. so i came down on my foot toes kindof curled in a pointed way. and proceeded to come down as if i was going to use the top of my foot to land on and i just felt somthing pop. now it feels all loose. i iced it and wraped it but dont know what else to do. all the pain is. if you are looking down at your feetit is on the right foot on the rightside. on my ankle under the big boney ball. well besides that. i only have one more email session in the mtc. its weird. mom dont send me any tee shirts from my room none of them really fit. the brown one you sent me was to small. but the mtc is pretty much the same. the dude from other side of heaven the movie came and spoke to us last night it was pretty good. thanks for the letters and packages.love u all( ik houdt van u) tot ziens. love ya mom and dad tell me something to do for my ankle alsubliefd
