Wow! okay so this week was a little crazy. We called it "the week of opposition". Not many lessons taught, not many people found. It was hard but we need to just forget it and move on. Akouna Matata! Thats what me and Elder Baret would always say ALL the time. So another way we had some serious opposition was with our investigator named Arturo. He was supposed to be being baptized this weekend. I thought all was well until he couldnt come to our rendez-vous monday, or tuesday or wednesday. I then had to go to Toulouse thursday for a leadership meeting. We FINALLY had a rdv friday, but he was not at all the same. He was just asking questions that we have already gone over, he wasnt okay with the fact that we will be judged. Just very little things. But finally we went to go talk to him about faith. We told him we are not there to convince him that we are right and he is wrong, but we are there to "invite" him to pray. Simply to be humble enough to pray, and to ask God if it is true or not. The spirit was very strong there and I hope he will just do the experience.
What the heck Brigham?? when did you learn how to sing?? he must've got that from me... haha. That is so cool Brig! Congrats! To all those who havent gone on a mission yet listen up!! Learn all you can before the mission!! Do every little thing your mom or dad ask you to do. You have no idea how much those little things will help you on your mission. Every skill I have ever had, every job I had to do and everything I have ever learned I have used on my mission. From trimming those stupid bushes in my back yard to helping people with their English. I have helped people move rocks and I have helped clean peoples room. I have taught people how to shoot a basketball and I have helped people move. I can promise you that everything you are asked to do or that you just do because you know it is the right thing, you will use it on your mission. So Chandler, Nick, Cole, Wyatt, Brigham, Hayden, Cade, Tyler, Sage, Jake, Cooper, Asher and all you other young men, "Whatever you do, do it well" because you will use all of it on your mission. I am even using a little bit of my babysitting skills this transfer. haha.
I love you all! thanks so much for all you do. This whole thing about what was said about General Conf. makes me think of one scripture in specific, it was when Nephi was speaking to his brothers and says "the wicked take the truth to be hard".
